fury. dirge and ???

wifes making a fury. i want to make a good dps/tank class to go with her. plan on making a dirge bot to follow me.. just wonder what dps/tank class would let us do the most most.. thinking  monk or  swashie or ranger   looking for some thing i can dps in raid but still can dps/tank when its just the 2 of us.
