New Player Armour question

Hi there jsut joined EQ2 4 days ago, and after playing a few classes have decided to stick with fury. I began as a Wood elf race.  Due to not finding much leather armour and not being able to afford the silly priced low lvl kit on brokers i took up outfiter tradeskill, only to find that all the leather i was making was based on defence. so my question to all you seasoned furys is......is using cloth gear to pump up my int to a decent number worth losing the mitigation? currently at lvl 16.. im wearing the lvl 10 crafted leather armours appart from my chest which i have donned a robe for it has some stat like (+4int +10power +10 health) or near enough to that... would it be safe to continue using cloth as my chest piece and leather everywhere else or am i gunan need the extra mitigation?

If you don't get hit the difference between cloth and leather is just appearance. When I leveled dup my fury I had a mixture of cloth and leather. But then I rarely soloed and grouped from 25-70. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
