While going down the energy line, I put 5 points in Ring of Fire and Storm, even though I don't have these spells yet.

Now I head these spells are not very good and my points would be better elsewhere. Your thoughts (if you have these spells)?

Until you have these spells, you are wasting your points. It depends on your playstyle. Most of the time, RoF and CoS are not the most efficient way of doing damage to one or two targets. If there's more than one target, it doesn't hurt to drop RoF once your tank has agro, but reserve CoS for those rare occasions when you've got at least five or six mobs around you. Otherwise, you will do at least twice as much dps by sticking to your regular nukes and burning down one target at a time. In other words, unless you regularly farm by pulling a dozen or so green mobs and aoeing them down, it's not really worth it.

You may want to respec and use those points somewhere else until you actually get the spells, and go back to them later if you decide. I imagine it's all situational. My SK hubby and I looooove togather up an area and then aoe the snot outta mobs, him with his AOE stuff and me with my ROF (I use COS less often since I'm stunned while casting it, though hibernation is handy in the cases when I do). Our gameplay shifted markedly when we hit the level that gave us both AOE kills.

It's kind of funny you spent points in a spell you don't have yet *grins* I spent 5 points on RoF and a few in CoS in order to get Energy Vortex. Spending 5 on Tempest and Killing Swarm didn't sound that exiting after all :p

Like mentioned above, Rong of Fire is great when you have 5+ mobs around you, and you want to burn them down (clearing a grey zone for a friend or something) Dropping that with Call of Storms, and it's no wonder we're titled Fury 's With the AA points, It's amazing how fast you can re-cast RoF. Love it

Personally i like RoF much more then CoS, because you always can drop RoF in an AoE fight and go on with casting heals or other spells, while you can't do anything else when CoS is active.

Very true. What's nice is getting the AA's to shorten the casting time, and increase the resistability. Drop Hibernation, HoT's, Ring of Fire, and then Call of Storms. That way you still get healed (and your group) during your CoS. Lots o fun

I use Ring of Fire a lot. Storms is also useful but in more limited circumstances. As a battle-fury, I've maxed out offensive AAs and have no regrets.
