Mount and betrayal question

I have a pal who is a qeynos aligned zerker. He would like a nightmare steed but he wants to remain in Qeynos. Is he able to betray to FP, buy the nightmare steed and then betray back to Qeynos retaining the steed? Anyone out there done this to verify it can be done?

It cannot be done.  We had a guildie who was an Ill and had the mistrunner.  When he betrayed to coercer hence to FP, he was not able to use the mistrunner anymore since he was not a member of Qeynos.
