I started an assassin when Eq2 first came out and lvled to 20 and deleted him because as soon as I hit 20, i found it VERY hard to solo. I really want to try this class again, and want to stick with it.I am sure the class has changed much over the last several years. I am playing for pure fun, not interested in the highest dps , or raiding etc. I primarily solo, and do occasionaly grp, but my question is related to solo play.

My main question is, although i have heard some of the AA suck, especially on the EOF tree, what AA from either tree would make it EASIER to solo. That is my goal with this question. I want to enjoy the class again and stick with it

Any other tips in regards to better weapons to use/ attributes to focus on (although I think STR) to make life easier would be appreciated.

And i do have many other characters including a brig, so please no posts to tell me to reroll a _____ if I want to solo. Im asking all those experienced assassins how to best assist me so I do not become frustrated with solo/quest play.

Thanks very much for the assisatance!

I think the EoF abilities are much more useful for soloing. Gotta get the adroit defence upgrade (max it out and you get no penalties). The upgrades to the stat reducing poisons will help you stay alive longer. When I did a lot of soloing I took the agi line in KoS tree just up till I got that short range bow shot. Can never have enough stuns. Thats how you manage to still use your positional attacks. -t

Hey SpirituSanctu my main is an Assassin. I have soloed my Assassin to lvl 42. I havent had to many problems until 40's. Now that I am 42 I am finding it harder to find good solo spots, i.e Lavastorm (can solo right off docks but thats about it), Everfrost (can solo wolves and a few mobs further in but mostly heroics. There is also a solo instance zone there not to bad easily done at 42), other than that I havent found any good spots... anyone have any ideas?

I really should clarify what i mean by soloing. I dont mean to solo grind OR to solo heroics . All i want to be able to do is the solo quest lines in each zone when I am unable to find a grp
