Hello all!

My wife and I have been playing EQ2 casually for a few months now. She has a 40 Fury and I have a 41 Monk (both Fae). We've hit a point where we don't have quite as many quests and adventuring spots slapping us in the face and have to go looking for it. I am hoping some folks here might have some good advice on where we might duo some quests, xp, and loot. We don't do the sit-and-grind thing, but prefer to explore and do missions. Instances are $$$ but doing splitpaw got old fast. We are way into the "cooooool" and "wow" factors. Bloodlines looked promising but we were less thrilled with the actual missions than the idea of them. The instanced undead castle with golems and ghosts and the sisters there off Neriak was very cool. That zone we loved. Zek was ok but a lot of competition for mobs and sketchy behavior by other players.

Here are our profiles. We are not twinked, don't know any high level people, and prefer to duo almost exclusively, but I have tried to get us at least some decent gear by harvesting and tradeskilling some:

Cata (monk): http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...terId=677932202

Para (fury): http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...terId=677968202

Thanks much for any ideas and advice!

I'm assuming you already finished most (or all) of the Gnomeland Security quests?

Feerrott has a whole lot of quests for the 35-45 player; tons of aa there.

By the time you finish all of those quests, you'll probably be about 45, then you can start the Sinking Sands quest lines (there are 3 of them near the docks, Ghassan the Trader, Numir at the crocodile camp, and the Embalmer chick at the other crocodile camp.)

Those quests will probably get you to 48 before you have to break for a bit (the quests will outlevel you, and you'll have to catch up before you move on)

At that point you can enter Maj Dul, get all the discovery exp, and start the peacock quests (you'd better look those up). You can then progress the peacock quests and the Sinking Sands/Pillar of Flames quests that you already started simultaneously.

Doing that will probably get you to around 52 (and you still won't be done); at this point you can begin the Wu/Nybright/Fae Court quests lines in Lesser Faydark... there are a freakin ton of them.

Doing all three of these prior quest lines simultaneously will easily get you to 60, at which point you can can move on to Loping Planes. Don't forget to clear the instances Mines of Meldrath (Steamfont), Court of Innovation (Ak'Anon), Miragles Managerie (Everfrost), Maiden's Gulch (Lavastorm), and spend some time exploring and slaying named in Cazic Thule (Feerrott), Permafrost (Everfrost), Solusek's Eye (Lavastorm), and Ak'Anon.

eq2i.com has a great solo timeline you both can do.

Feerrott, and Steamfront are a little green, but right at your level. There are a bunch of quests in feerrott, along with steamfront's quests lines. Once you hit about 44-45, head to everfrost/sinking sands, with the occasionally permafrost groups (mmm statue quests). Clefts high 40's.

Mental note about the faction quests in Sinking sands, coin/blades/truth. They are counter productive if you do them all, so stick with one faction and work on their quests, leave the others alone.

I hate Feerrott with a screaming blue-ball passion, so I typically spend my 40's in Rivervale, Permafrost, and Sinking Sands/Clefts (in more or less that order). It's incredibly hard to find Lavastorm groups, unfortunately. And the problem with Feerrott groups is that they're almost invariably in Cazic-Thule. If you haven't been there, it involves taking a boat to TS, then the bell to Feerrott, then training for at least 10-15 minutes through mobs that stun and occasionally see invis to get all the way to the opposite end of the zone from the docks. The jungle foliage, beautiful though it may be, cuts visibility and makes it hard to spot mobs and find your way around. If you've never been there, and are finding your way blind, count on it taking close to an hour and a few deaths to pull it off. If, after the 20 or so minutes it takes to get there, the group's still intact, you have a zone with pretty good exp, albeit really bad when it comes to getting repop adds. And gods forbid you lose a tank or healer, because it'll take you another half an hour, minimum, to find a replacement and get him there. In other words, don't do it unless the group has a conjuror. I have not leveled a character in their 40's since EoF came out, so I can't really speak to those zones. But at a glance, Steamfont looks like it has some really great quests and is easy to get around in and easy to get to.

Steamfont Mtns. and Loping plains offer the best solo (and heroic) timelines at levels 35-45 and 60+ respectively. This is because the quests are short, give good aa, items, coin, and the npcs are located in the center of the zone, making travel short to the quest areas.
