If you want a dps that is able to tank a bit, look at swashbuckler / brigand. Rogues get defensive stances, taunts and can do very good dps. My favourite 2 box healer is a druid, and from both I prefer Furies.

If you just want a buff bot, I would go Monk/Bruiser & Dirge. Dirges give without a doubt the best melee orientated buffs. If you plan on pressing a few buttons as and when (instead of just CoB!), then go for a druid.

As far as the tank is concerned, I would go for Monk. The ability to heal others & group feign death (later on) means you're less likely to have your bot partner dying while training etc. That's possibly a big plus for a healer in that you can res them if they die. There is nothing worse that training through some mobs and for some reason your bot dies and has to revive :/

Did you know that healers have a spell that gives a group member an item so they can resthe healer if they die? The bruiser could just feign death and the healer could eat it, bruiser stands up when mobs are gone and reses healer.

Who's to say the mobs have gone? You could have FD right in the middle of them!

I prefer the kill 1st ask questions later route - it's a bit like having a group with 2 healers or 1 healer - 2 healers give you greater survivability, but 1 healer gives you greater DPS potential - I prefer 1 healer, especially if you want exp quickly. It's quite sickening how quickly heroic groups go down with CoB, Tombs Calm & Crane Flock CoB and Tombs Calm are a pretty decent combo in their own right.

At lower lvl's the success chance of FD is pretty bad so I certainly wouldn't rely on it. At higher levels the success chance is better, but it's still great for a monk do try a group FD 1st and then use the personal FD as backup.

So why would you choose Bruiser over Monk?

Have posted similar notions elsewhere, but you might consider a mystic as a duoing buddy...can stack up some serious attack speed and DPS debuffs, not to mention wards give you a greater burst damage survivability level, plus less button pushing.

Though I will say, as a person who sometimes 3 boxes on one computer, using macros with slow casting timers can make for less loss of efficiency.

It does a disservice to the rest of us.

Did I say Monks > Bruiser overall? Nope, I just said IMO I think a Monk is better than a Bruiser in that PARTICULAR scenario. Might be wise to actually supply a reason why you disagree instead of such a lame flame.
