patcher downloading same file every time

i have installed the game from the 15mb download and every time i start the patcher it downloads the file: char_exp03_global_01.vpk

no it doesnt freeze or anything, it downloads the file and then i can play the game normally.. but then when i start up the patcher it downloads the file every time.. it's a 42mb file and it takes 10min so it's really annoying

weird... the patcher must think it is broken or something... You could try deleting it and repatching and see what happens. cannot guarantee anything though

i had tried that.. no luck there either.. it just redownloaded it anyway

well, i just tried uninstalling the game, deleting the directory and reinstalling from my origional dvds instead of the download install.. same deal, it downloads that [Removed for Content] file every time.. there's got to be a way to manually tell it to not download it any more, i'm getting extremely tired of waiting 10min for it to "patch" a file that's perfectly fine

i think i have resolved this issue by just running the game directly from the exe file... i suppose i'll just have to keep an eye out for an actual patch so i can run the patcher then

I've noticed something similar with my patcher, except that mine is DLing a 500kb file called something like xpt_006. Well actually I have no idea what it's called because it literally flashes across my screen, but it looks osmetihng like that.
