The annoyance of "toon", a fix

Ayn Rand is awesome, btw but Atals Shrugged wasn't too impressive. I use toon and char, I don't really care. I actually prefer the term toon, as it reminds me that this is just a game <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

The OP now has a way for those who doesn't like the word to not see it, which means they'll have no reason to complain about what words you use. Your post would be appropriate if this was a thread telling everyone not to use the word 'toon', but it's not. It's rather a 'just keep using the word, it wont annoy me anymore' thread.

<p>It's called a mental aberration.  A hitch if you will. Almost a handicap really but usually the hitchee would offer these words up themselves less they be insulted. Personally things like this mean absolutely nothing to me other then my intersest in how the human brain works.</p>

I mean, these are, in fact, animated characters. How is calling it a "Char" or "Character" any more immersive than calling it a "toon"?
