So we have a pretty good bruiser in our guild and the paladin who is often our tank tends to put his hate transfer buff on the bruiser instead of me. Granted, the bruiser was level 70 and I was 66 at the time (70 now), but I still figured I should be out-damaging him. I don't raid much, so fights really don't last incredibly long. I was curious if y'all could help me with cast order for single and multi-mob encounters. I'll list how I think I tend to cast as a frame of reference. Single --------- Iceshield Rending Icicles Queue heroic opportunity Ball of Lava Sunstrike Incapacitate Cease Free-hand sorcery Ice Nova I notice I don't tend to use DoT's too much. For a while, I was trying the following but I just stopped really for no reason: Single -------- Iceshield Rending Icicles Protoferno Surging Tempest Fiery Convulsions Irradiate Then I start in with Ball of Lava or Ice Nova. Stuff is usually dead before I get all of these off. Multi --------- Iceshield Frigid Gift Glacial Wind Electrifying Flash Firestorm Concussive (repeat, throwing in a DD between refreshes) Thanks for any help. I read through the raid sticky thread and realized that advice would get me killed in that normal group. I just want to make sure that as the group's only wizzy, I'm leading the pack on damage.

As a bruiser, I know I can certainly generate a lot of hate. I know I've tanked for Wizards by myself before (not at lvl 70 but in the 60s) and held aggro. So my thought is if a pally wanted to really secure aggro it might not be a bad idea to amends the bru and tell him to do as he would if he were tanking, thus adding to the pally's hate. Right? makes sense that if I can hold it off the wizard, then taking 41% off the top of me would further ensure the pallies ability to hold aggro.

I don't think it is solely a measure of DPS to be honest. Between taunts and taunt procs, plus I (as my bru) can open with two PBAoE's that do a lot to secure my hate position. Just food for thought, but amends can be used in other ways. *Edit: Read that to mean, it might not be an insult for you to not receive amends.
