On a PvE server and have recently enjoyed some dueling in EFP and SS. Where I can hold my own in some instances, I get owned in others. I know there is good PvP gear on PvP servers, but is there anything recommended to those duelers on PvE?

Right now I'm in completley Legendary Armor. 90% M1, if not M1, then its a3. I know there are tactics in handling certain classes, but I also know gear helps. Any tips? Rarely raid or go on Pick-up raids, so is there any Legendary gear out there that is good for PvE dueling?

Thanks

Really can depend on the class you are fighting. Each class obviously specializes in a type of magic or damage. You can play several roles while PVPing, one being the meatshield/taunter...where it would be best to have high overall resists and high mitigation, similar to tanking in any PVE group. OR you can play the role of DPS in your PVP experiences. Where your INT+STR will define your SK.

There's lot of mastercrafted jewelry that can boost PVP stats. And of couse some of the best PVP/PVE gear in the game for T7 is obtainable through simple fast instances.

Take a look at the Kyle Bayle set. Some of the pieces have +defense on them which helps avoidance. The set also has decent stats and set bonuses for having multiple pieces on at once. I don't remember the specifics as im at work. Some of the pieces are tradeable so they can be purchased. The rest are in heroic instances/dungeons. Good luck on the sage camp for the greaves in CMM http://eq2llinks.com/search.php?sea...;searchlimit=10 Try and maximize your HP as much as possible. More HP's means you are harder to kill and also has a side bonus of making reaver heal for more hp each time it procs. Also, go through the Claymore questline. You can get some good jewelry with good mitigation, avoidance, HP, and most can be aquired without raiding. One jewelry piece I love for dueling is the Signet of Light from Darkness, which is from Obelisk of Blight. It procs a really nice heal. Just be sure to get a +70 HP adornment for it. aITEM 199677404 173914132:Signet of Light from Darkness/a My SK isn't on a PVP server, but I've done a lot of dueling. I prefer a 1h and shield in most cases, especially vs high damage melee classes. This gives extra avoidance and an extra stun which can make a world of difference so you can cast blessing without interupts. For dueling scouts, invest in some butterfly totems. These allow you to see stealth, which is a huge advantage. For scouts, Just before the duel starts, use a Clarity potion. This gives you stun immunity and its critical as scouts will try and use cheap shot for a quick stun+interupt, then proceed to unload with backstabs. Use the immunity to land as many dots as possible. Pariah's brand, unending misery, and grim coil are good because they cast fairly quick. The dots will also break stealth which really puts predators at a disadvantage. Space out your stuns to give you time to cast blessing. Try to keep blessing up at all times. Once they are down to less than 50% hp, use Death March for additional immunity to stuns, and burn them down. This same style works good on any melee class. For rangers, try to keep close to them. They don't like it when you are point blank range. The see stealth totem is especially important for fighting them.
