I have no idea if it's even a consideration for the expansion, but I'm really hoping we see it return. Howling Stones was my favorite Kunark Era zone. I would dearly love to adventure through it again. I'm at least kind of hopeful because it was where Venril's wife hid away and Venril is a large part of the lore of Rise of Kunark. Is anyone else as fond of this classic zone as I am?

I enjoyed the zone =) What I remember most about it wasn't exactly the zone, but the PIT inside the Overthere. OMG, the 1st time I fell in (somehow survived), I'm looking @ those creepy scorpion guys, they're totally red to me, I'm like level 22, something crazy... Was intimidated to say the least

Here is to hoping that there is some variation on the late teens to mid twenties of xp grind in a Lake of Ill Omen setting. It's a right of passage for any Everquest player, there can be no quests....just mindless pulling of goblins and Sarnaks on the lakeshore. I say this tounge in cheek, and I can't say enough of how great of a job the EQ2 team has done to eliminate the need or desire to camp grind. But in hindsite, those were some great times, running past the giant Iksar statue past the Drachnid deathrape-fest up the waterfall and down the stream. I really cannot wait to see that area.

Or maybe it was just me, seemed I never saw em until I was getting the snot beat out of me... They mention Skyfire in the FAQ on the kunark site, & while that wasn't the best xp zone, I loved it &...rumour has it it once sat near the Burned Woods =p

Hmm wasnt the Lake of Ill Omen flooded? Lol if i remember correctly then it is now the ocean of ill omen lol. I want Karnor's and Kurns to be in...

Karnors over 40 billion trains served! lol

Ya it was cool and Kunark was by far the best expansion I've played. Actually I think I met more people coming to the game thru Kunark than any other time in EQ1.
