was just wondering if there was ever any talk or anything about soe maybe tweaking the actually proc you get with the Cloak of Hatred.

Now I'm a defiler so Tunare was out of the question and after going over what miracles you get from each diety I decided on Innoruuk because some of his miracles totally seemed like they were meant for a healer.

right now the proc on the cloak is...

On a successful spell attack this spell has a chance to cast Mindtap on target of spell. This effect will trigger an average of 1.8 times per minute.

Decrease power of target by 65

Increases power of caster by 50

was just thinking wouldn't the cloak be more suited to have that proc go off for beneficial spells as well? well you know because evil healers really don't get much choice in the diety department when it comes to cloaks.

or would that be asking for too much?

haha was actually thinking about this and realized if that were to work whoever you were healing would have to be targetting a mob for the power drain to work. that would end up making this proc rather complicated.

had another question. now i'm a defiler so alot of my spell attacks are DOT's. was just curious do i have a chance to proc my cloak per hit from my DOT?

But rember ur dots may be a fast cast and the procs are normalized.

This is the update notes on it...

Item Procs

- Item Procs have received a general increase in proc rate. As an average the prior mechanic would calculate the number to earn 1.0 procs per minute. The new mechanic raises this value to an average of 1.8 procs per minute. Given the speed of combat within EQ2 this should see more procs per fight on average for anything which had a lower than 9% chance to proc in the previous system.

Most healers cast either almost as many, or more hostile spells in a raid situation than they do benifitial spells. Exceptions to this are templars (good only, so ths cloak doesn't matter to them), and in some fights, MT group defilers. The fights where a defiler has to spam their wards more than their debuffs are rare enough and fast enough for this to not be an issue.

Also, this only affects raids, as no heroic fight lasts long enough for anyone to go OOP (except a wizard using Manaburn). Hence, in heroic play, power regen abilities = less downtime, nothing more.

Besides, if you really wanted Tunare, you could betray to Exile and stay there. From there you could worship Tunare, as Exiles have no restrictions on worship. Of course there are RP issues, if that matters to you, of a defiler worshipping Tunare, and Haven isn't as nice to live in as the cities, but there is always a price to pay. Note: Your masters don't go away with this. They only go away when you pledge to city again.
