yea so... Since the "Freeport Militia" is investigating Opal Darkbriar, they're camping out the Academy of Arcane Science... on ALL floors, across the ENTIRE entrance. Lvl 75 in the front, others lvl 70 heroics, all triple ups.. all see invis...

So how is a good character supposed to get the rune that's upstairs for Speak like a dragon? You know... Speak like a dragon the quest required to do Prismatic, Claymore, Tunare deity quest, DT access... etc. An INTEGRAL quest by any stretch of the imagination, obviously needed to progress in much of the upper level content. Hello!

I hope this resolves itself soon, otherwise my lvl 52 toons waiting to get the rune are just gonna be camping in north freeport waiting patiently for the guards to move on and investigate Opal Darkbriar in some other less intrusive area....

I think I read somewhere that they're only there temporarily...maybe having something to do w/ the new content going in here in a couple of weeks. Definitely a bad choice, even if it's only temporary.

They definitely don't see through stealth if you're level 70; I know, because I did it just a few days ago & walked right past them all while stealthed.

You could see if someone could run them off or kill them for you.

Uhh no...besides, the reward does scale with you... sorta... you get to speak dragon at level 80 too. I assume however you were talking about upgrading the prismatic, which is just stupid, imo. Instead, how about this. Wait it out. Im sure they wont be there for too long. I would have suggested a CoH to the OP, but it seems that all the floors are covered, so I dont know the likelyhood of being able to CoH to a safe spot in there.

Actually...I was bored the other day running through FP with my brigand and saw the lvl 75 guy standing there for the first time...

Well, lets just say these guys have surprisingly low mit/resists/hp considering their level and appearance...the lvl 75 only barely stayed standing through the opening chain of CA's.

Now, I have some decent gear, so I am not saying anyone can do it, but...there not quite as tough as they look...

You can bet that once the Swords of Destiny questline finally finishes up, the guards will go away. Just be patient.

To Speak as a Dragon is a lvl 50 quest and grey at 70, yielding no more AA then the part that is transformed from normal experience gain due to being at level cap (and if bellow 70 but high enough to be able to get it done you wont even get that). Being unable due to game mechanics to finish a quest in intended level range is bad design, the longer the event lasts the worse it is. Its very possible to level out of AA reward range during the time that has passed so far, and each day that passes more people might miss out of this. Its not really acceptable that you should have to play other characters or turn of exp to be able to get the AA experience you should be able to aquire. Seeing how test hasnt gotten any updates on sword of destiny questline so far and last live update didnt have any either, its impossible to say how long this situation might persist.

Not that it's all that great, anyway, 8% or so mentored to 54.
