Hi, i had recently upgraded my system to core2 duo 6700 with 4 gig ram and gforce 8800 gtx grafik card on asus p5b deluxe mainboard. I have 2 screens attached to the 8800. It works quite good with 2 instances of everquest simultanious. But i had my old gforce 7800 gt left, and no reasonable price to get on ebay, so i d wondered what will happen, if i put it back in the 2 nd pcie slot. No (edit : crossfire Intel 965 chip)bridge. The display driver recongniced the card on next startup and the nvidia 2 screen setup was changed automaticaly so the 2 nd screen was configured right to the 7800. I hadnt upgraded my nvidia drivers to the newest version because i heard of eq2 troubles with them. So i was quite suspicious to see this configuration at work so easy. All worked fine, but as i started only one instance of everquest my mousepointer starts to stutter. It doesnt move smoothly anymore, more a stop and go/jump ... like eq did grab so much processor power to delay mouse handling. On starting the 2 nd instance of eq2 i saw that the 2 cores are not used anymore and both instances seem to run on one core. While using the 8800 alone they split up on 2 cores though ... very strange. So my questions are : Did anybody has experiences with 2 different grafik cards on one motherboard ? With one instance of eq2 and the old 7800 gt i was able to play eq2 mostly on max details, so the basic thought was that the 2 nd card for the 2nd instance of eq2 would be a good deal. Is this true, if i manage to integrate it right ? How do i integrate it right ? Ah sorry for my creative kind of english ... i am german native speaker
