<p>I was just thinking it would be nice if instead of more AAs for the next boost in classes they put in some Alternate Paths.</p><p>For Monks it would simply be four choices</p><p>Silent Fist - Advances would be based off defense and confounding your opponent.  Could give two, two concentration slot buffs that give the monk between a choice of interrupt on attack or a 1 second daze</p><p> Ashen Order - Mystic type attacks that give us more options for those of us who like to play more magical fighters.  Boosts to our arcane powers and a 2 concentration buff for flame or cold procs</p><p>Whistling Fist - Strike fist and percise - boosts to offensive powers and attacks similar to pressure points.  Could give two path powers for rebound - returns a mobs CA art on itself one time or reflect turns a mobs cast back on itself</p><p>Swift Tails - This path is all about punishment.  Attacks are designed to cripple your opponent and leave them writhing in agony.  Could give debuffs similar to torture and debilitate, but on a much smaller scale as to not take away from their primary classes</p><p>It seems to me if they let us choose just ONE path it would give an option to those who want a more solo, group, hybrid, dps friendly build and give options to use the last of our 2 concentrations.  And for those who are RP a path that fits their monk more.  AA points could be used to progress down the path of your choosing but once you pick a school you can't purchase any from the others.  The 50 points would just to reach master of that path and all who take that path would have the same powers.  For example 8/8/8/8/2 in any of the brawler trees.</p>

<p>yupp we get crappy options hoenstly. if you looked at mystics tree for example they get a pretty substntial choice between going melee or increase their cureing buffing potential.  Shadow knights tree is amazing. 2.5% heal proc on every successful cast? i think thats what it says. correct me if im wrong. they get awesome options. While the pally gets a line truly dedicated to healing. they even get a cure line if htey want. and end ability includes a new heal for them. thats uber. then you have the fury, who can really go dps with one of his lines. prettty substantial increase with that aa tree there. while still mainting the decent healing abiltity from before. </p><p>dirges get totally awesome group end lines. definatly offers some choices there. defilers get a tree to really speed up their debuffing abiltiies. tahts pretty [Removed for Content] useful. thems the only tress i really looked at yet still look at monk... umm yeah... our end line monk abilities just suck. while ihavent seen all trees yet. they are among the worst i have seen. given there are some other optiosn that are terrible. but!. they have somethign good in one of their tress at least <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>you should check out the other post about new ideas for monks lets get creative and see what ways monks can be overly improved. </p>
