When do characters arrive on their new servers?

So I just transferred three of my characters to a new account, and the transfer seemed to go through with no problems.  But when I sign on to my old account the characters still show up on the list there, and they don't show up on the new account yet.  Does anyone know how long their journey will take?  And can I sign on any of those characters in the meantime or do I have to leave them alone?  Gee, I'm anxious...like my children are traveling alone...<img src="/smilies/2786c5c8e1a8be796fb2f726cca5a0fe.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Edited to say: NM, the kids have arrived!
