Hey guys,

with the new account transfers i created a second account instead of paying for station access, and am going to be making a new Bruiser to mess around with.

Was just curious as to which second class would make the best, in your opinions, "buff bot" to tag along behind the bruiser.

Things to keep in mind, it would normally be more of a bot, and not that actively played (ie, i know a healer would be ideal to cast heals as i go, but, actively playing both accounts isn't all that feasible currently).

The ones that came to mind off hand were bard or chanter.

both give power regen. illus/troubie give haste. dirge/coercer give DPS. chanters give mez. bards speed. etc

so what are ya'lls' opinion?

Thanks

Hrm, my first thought would be an illu or dirge, the dirge you could make 2 spell macros to do some AOE/Encounter Mezzes, the dirge you would have the songs plus COB and whatever kind of heal spell they got. The run speed would be a bonus when going to run off/feign mobs.

Coercer

The +dps mod is worth a ton more than haste, they give +Agi and +Int in a grp buff (which helps avoid.), they have tons of power juju, and they also have a ward EOF AA

Personal preference from having grped/raided with dirge/troub/coercer/illusionist a good bit

Depends a bit on what you want to do with your bot character: For combat buffs specifically dirge is probably the best overall (+dps, +hate, +skills, +crits, procs, stoneskin) with chanters close second (illu and coercer both have nice ways of boosting dps for melee, but fewer tank support buffs.) Overall utility... I would go with a druid, for the runspeed + heals + buffs + utility (druid portals rule!) (and allows you to anchor a full group if you get good at 2 boxing.) Chanter utilities (mez, charm, stuns, etc.) require more active play than the bard buffs or passive healer abilities, something to consider if you aren't set up to wrangle the second toon around easily.

Hate to toss another name in the hat, but mystics are pretty nice. They can debuff attack speed and dps quite significantly.

Bolster is also nice, but sucks up power. Set up your mystic's AA right and they will crit 100% and can proc rage (35% haste, 35% double attack). Even on autoattack that isn't too bad.

Wards allow you to essentially go "above max" on your total hit absorption capability...and generally fit very well with the whole avoidance tank setup.

IE if your bruiser has 6k HP, that is the most he could handle in a large burst damage scenario. If your mystic loads him up with 3k in wards, his potential hit absorption in the same scenario extends to 9K. Healing requires damage, warding does not. Bruiser also has a very nice self heal with works excellently in tandem with the mystic, since they don't heal nearly as efficiently.

I have a fury and a mystic, which I triple up with a bruiser as well as conj or dirge. The fury has to be hitting buttons more frequently to keep up.

If you put your graphics settings on extreme performance, I can run 3 accounts on one old as heck p4 1.6 ghz with 1 gig of ram and an older geforce 6800 128mb vid card. It isn't nearly as damage efficient as having multiple CPUs, but I can manage by swapping back and forth between chars and swapping while queing up abilities.
