Is the number one priority from a business point-of-view. Get er' done! Umm...This is Sony. Yes, they can hire 700 more competent artists and technicians and finish the whole deal in a month.....If they thought it would be lucrative. Now that Vanguard is failing, perhaps the fools making the calls will wise up a bit.

I hope they dont change the ways characters look on the outside....they look great as is....we just need to change the insides a bit...give them a new skeleton, break a few bones and they will be fine =). NEW Weapons and Armor!

Well to me its looking more and more like this is just a fantasy. I'm losing hope of lasting long enough to see it.

It really really and I mean really bugs me that all the races (almost) are humans with makeup. Kerras looks like a human in a tiger suit, Iksars looks like humans in a lizard suit and so forth. and I extremely hate that there only exists < 5  shoulders models.

Yeah I don't like that either. They really simplified things a lot. Mostly it looks like every race shares the same body with just different heads pasted on them.

Nah cuz they have spoken of it many times, that kinda project takes forever its a huge undertaking to tally revamp something like that

Finding talented developers can be a challenge. Then you need to do interviews and training, which will often take more experienced developers off their tasks. Even the best developer will need time to learn the code they're working with, so getting one developer up to speed will take a few weeks easily, if not more. Now, with more developers, each person will be working on a smaller chunk of code, which means far more coordination is needed, and increases the likely hood of version control issues. In other words, as the code base is divided between more and more people, it becomes increasingly difficult to manage what everyone is working on. This causes more delays and bugs, and ultimately serves to slow down development, not speed it up.

Something that I find interesting is that there are credible rumors that the next playable race will be Sarnacks.  If the Sarnacks are like the were in Everquest 1 then they will have odd elongated bodies and oblong heads.   It almost seems like they would need to have the skeletal revamp done in order to introduce them.  Otherwise, they would have to go through and make all the armor through all the levels wearable by them.

And I highly doubt they would resrict a race from wearing certain armor, chances are if they add Sarnak they'll just be lazy and put a Sarnak head on a human body.

What they need to do is to redo is redo all of the elves and make them have the same skeleton Redo all the Shorties to have same skeleton Redo the larger races to have the same bodies (Troll ogre barbarian) Then all the humans and humanoids that are left that way there could be variety

Rather than using height to determine what type of body they have, it seems more likely to be based on their basic body type.  A Dwarf may be short, but he physically has more in common with an Ogre than with a Gnome.  I see it going more like this: Normal: Humans, Half-Elves, Barbarians, etc. Bulky: Dwarves, Ogres, etc. Thin: Elves, Fae, Erudites, etc. Bestial: Froglocks, Ratonga, (Sarnaks?)

A new skeleton allowing for new armour (not just matron robes for mages either =p ), as well as possibly new animations would be awesome. As for changing the 'outside' of the models, hopefully they'd be very small changes, or yet another alternate option if they did implement new stuff. Oh, & while I doubt this would happen, please don't hire or bring over the people that designed the new human model on EQLive. I know they're limited in many areas regarding coding, time, resources, space in their files, but it was scary.

hmmm good doesnt look like they are being lazy on Sarnaks...we may see our new skeletons soon, oh and look at the armor drawn on that Sarnak, usually thaey would draw existing armor on them....hmmmmm <img src="http://eq2.allakhazam.com/images/random%20images/Rok-Sarnak.jpg" border="0"> EQ2 <img src="http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/pics/a_di%27zok_cryptmaster.jpg" border="0"> EQ1

Absolutely incredible, but unrealistic for performance. As for the skeletons, I wonder exactly how they are doing it all... Hmm.
