How about a quest to upgrade the speed on horses?

<p>Hey I am not fond of dogs, but I would like to be able to so a quest to get my 40% mount up to 45%.</p><p>Vanguard had a need idea in upgrading mount speeds through horseshoes. How about a quest for a pair of magical horses to upgarde the 40% no guild mounts to 45%?</p>

Here's an idea just go do the warg quest so you can move at 45.

KK but then peps are going to want something so the dog goes faster and then the guild horses will need to go faster so where does it stop is all i am getting at.

All it does is make them equal in speed and there will be a quest. Not like you can go down and ask someone to make horseshoes for you. You will have to quest for the magic horseshoes - just like you quested for the dog.

Why is it so important to be the fastest? Where is it written that bards should be faster than anything else in the game? Who said that guild mounts have to be faster than non-guild or quested mounts? Each mount has advantages and disadvantages. Horses back up slowly, but offer more options than carpets. You need to be fairly high level to get the warg, but is cheap for the speed. The carpet quest is difficult unless you are of very high level, but it's free. Barded horses are expensive and require guild level, but are fast and offer bonuses. SOW/Bard speed is free and can even be used in dungeons, but scales with level and only available to certain classes (who pay for it by sacrificing other things.)

Bards like to go faster, but that is just their nature.  That is why many of them are single because they...umm....are a little quick and premature in most areas LOL

There is something to this idea but it should be more than just trashy horseshoes available. Equipment for mounts would be quite nifty, like different kinds of barding etc.
