Hi gang, My illusionist is level 68 and I've been with the game since day one. I have researched the answer to this question and come back scratching my head. When someone in my group asks me to "feed him power," what the hell does he mean? Do we have a spell that feeds someone power? Our power? I know other classes can. But ours seem to be either coming from the mob or Mana Cloak, etc. Help? Thanks

I'm new to the game (only been playing for about 3 weeks) so if I'm wrong I appologize, however I would assume they are referring to mana flow. It's one of the Enchanter AA's (I think it was released with KoS if what I've read is correct).

The ability will allow the enchanter to sacrifice 10% of their health and power pool. When the spell expires (after 30 seconds) it will give 10% mana to both the caster and your target that you cast it on. (Also note it won't stack on the target so if you have more than one illusionist or coercer in the group it can't be on them twice.)

The only other thing I can think of besides our buffs and devitalizing gazes is the 1st AA in the enchanter tree--Mana Flow.

With Mana Flow you sacrifice 10 percent of your health and power when you buff someone with it and when the buff terminates you and the person both gain 10 percent power. It isn't immediate though. I think that the buff lasts about 30 seconds or something (I can't recall specifically), so you have to anticipate when it will be necessary.

EDIT -- Hehe. Zarius beat me to it.

the only way your directly able to feed them power is one mana flor, or two divitalizing gaze (other than your mana regen buff). If they are the MT and getting hit the mana cloak would help otherwise that doesnt effect em. If that is not enough for them well then tell em to hush.... We are good for mana regen over long term not burst mana such as heart / shards.

Ya, Mana flow is it. You should notice that the mana flows 30 seconds AFTER you cast the spell. thus is better when you can anticipate the need. Gives them +10% of their power and does the same for you. Very good and useful spell in very active groups or raiding. If your group stands around a lot, you won't use it much.

Mana flow and devitalizing gazes are the two, yes. And one other thing you can do to help is cast Savante which reduces mana usage by 40% for a short spell. So cast mana flow, DG and follow it up with a Savante and that should help... some.

Saying Mana Cloak is worthless if you're not in the MT group is a false statement. It's a chance to proc the power whenever you take damage, so if they use their manastones/hearts/chard/canni (or equivalent)/mob dmg AEs You will be adding 150-200 extra power to them whenever they use those items. Mana Cloak is a great utility in any group when used correctly. Highly recommend making a macro informing your group why you put it up as a lot of people overlook it past the MT.

Mana Cloak is not that great ability as most AEs barely hit.

Oh gawd now I feel dumb, the only thing that really proc'd it was the manastone 2.0 lol, but the manastone 2.0 does actually damage you.

There is also occasionally a use for it with Curse of Insanity and various damage shields, all of which can be avoided or dispelled, but yeah, Mana Cloak for me is used only slightly more often than Illusory Allies and Spellshield.
