How to get the game to run faster on my laptop.

I received a laptop this past Christmas. I'm wondering, what can I do to make Everquest 2 run better? It has a Centrino duo core process that is 1.6ghz, a gig of ram, and a onboard video card. I plan on upgrading it to 2 gigs of ram. Would another gig of ram help the game run at a decent setting?

It will help, yes. There aren't really many other options available to you on a laptop. Most of your display settings won't be changeable even so.

I would sacrifice great graphics if I could get the game to run better. I remember upgrading my desktop from 512mb to a gig, and it felt like a whole new world.
