Hi there Whenever I try to login to eq2players / my account etc I get the following error: The connection has timed out The server at secure.station.sony.com is taking too long to respond. When I attempt to run a tracert to the server I get the following, as you can see the connection doesn't time out until it reaches SoE's own servers. I've spoken to my ISP but they firmly claim that there is no fault with their systems (and point to tracert as proof of that). Can you help? That simply means you can't see past that point with ping, as the server has it blocked. It's more likely that something on your computer is preventing access to this page. What are you specifically trying to view, your character profile?

I get the message if I attempt to login to any of the following: eq2players "Sign In" button: http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...n.sony.com/en/? my account link: https://secure.station.sony.com/eq2...scriptionList.m Only area I can log into is these forums (which appear to be separate from secure.station.sony.com)

What browser you are using, and do you have the security set fairly low?

I get the same result with both IE (set to all default settings, cookies and temporary internet files cleared etc) and also Mozilla Firefox (again cache and cookies cleared on a regular basis, default security settings).

Could you post an msinfo32 then, after first trying to disable all antivirus software? For Windows XP: 1. Run msinfo32 from your Start menu (click Start, Run..., then type "msinfo32" and hit Enter) 2. Click on the "File" menu and choose "Export..." 3. Save the file as a Text Document and name it "MSinfo.txt" 4. Paste the information in that file here.

Sure, however we have 4 computers here, all with the exact same issue (all going via the same router/internet connection) so I don't believe the issue is computer specific. System Information report written at: 05/02/07 02:41:48 <<snipped>>

Well with that bit of information about your router, you are either all running the same Antivirus program installed the same way, or you have an odd router. You mentioned travelling though, so now I am confused. Are you at home, and you cant communicate? Or is it just when you travel around that you can't, and you happen to bring all four computers? Is this a band motorcade?

We have four PC's on a network, all connected via the same router and internet connection, we all experience the exact same issue with differing anti-virus software. I also get the same issue with all anti-virus and firewall disabled. Can you quantify 'odd' as I can't find an odd on/off setting on my router.

Doesn't matter, looks like you have fixed the broken server anyway.... guess it was the tracert in the first place: Tracing route to secure.station.sony.com [64.37.156.36] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms BelkinModem.marvicjas [192.168.2.1] 2 40 ms 44 ms 35 ms lo0-plusnet.ptn-ag1.plus.net [195.166.128.123] 3 41 ms 35 ms 36 ms ge0-0-0-103.ptn-gw1.plus.net [84.92.3.17] 4 39 ms 36 ms 36 ms ge-4-1.metro2-londencyh00.London1.Level3.net [212.113.11.41] 5 37 ms 43 ms 37 ms so-1-2-0.gar2.London1.Level3.net [212.113.0.118] 6 41 ms 36 ms 35 ms ae-0-54.bbr2.London1.Level3.net [4.68.116.98] 7 169 ms 171 ms 171 ms as-2-0.mp1.SanDiego1.Level3.net [64.159.1.137] 8 171 ms 174 ms 172 ms so-8-0.hsa1.SanDiego1.Level3.net [4.68.112.130] 9 249 ms 221 ms 180 ms vl861.sdtermswitch-1.sonyonline.net [63.215.251.130] 10 192 ms 190 ms 190 ms vl80.sdtermsw-1.sonyonline.net [64.37.144.153] 11 182 ms 189 ms 182 ms vl180.sdt-slb1.sonyonline.net [64.37.144.18] 12 208 ms 210 ms 208 ms secure.station.sony.com [64.37.156.36] Trace complete.
