<p>I know after the downtime, there was a download, but no patch notes were available and none have been posted. Could we please know what was patched this morning?</p><p>And more importantly why can't we get the CURRENT patch notes with the download by clicking updates notes? </p>

They do take down the server sometimes to just have maintaince on them. Not necessary patching. Today it was probably due to the merging of the EU PvP server with Venekor Server.

I don't like it when we are not told what was patched.

Who cares what it is? It's probably a sniffer to root out your [Removed for Content] collection. Emails are being set to your parents as I type this. [Removed for Content]!

They don't want to admit what they are nerfing.

To be frank, they dont need to post anything with regards to update notes. The game content is subject to change, and that's what we agree to when we play. They just like to keep us informed of major changes, BUT as I believe Blackguard stated back in the day, then never include every change per patch, because the notes would be pages and pages long. They have more than enough on their plate right now with the merge and transfers (the update was probably because of that tbh) that they dont have time to put up patch notes for a single file. Oh coming to think of it, it was probably a major nerf to whatever class you play, they just didnt put up notes because they didnt want YOU to know about it <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<p>Maybe they changed the clouds back to where you can't use them while under attack, that was such a nice ninja change. I wish I could send that dev a box of oreos.</p><p>Being able to leave halls of fate island while the droag is beating on me was awesome, since i still had 45 minutes on my freakin glock out for raids and couldn't go. blah</p>

Why don't you get some coffee and calm down? Sometime the notes get posted late because Kristie is on Pacific time. She's probably just getting to the office and will put something up soon.

It's not like you can change anything. Unless this was like a LU 13 patch, there isn't going to be anything mind boggling.

There was a patch today should we go retry these broken quests or will that be a waste of time. If there had been a patch note we might have a clue. But no SOE's time is so much more valuable then ours that TIMELY patchs notes are not high priority. One minute to post and say there is nothing of interest is not too much to ask.</p><p>This BS about notes being to long if everything where included is just that BS. We have search functions we can find what we are interested in if it where available. Feeding us this line is insulting, we are not that dumb.</p>
Good Lord you are insufferable. I would advise laying off the coffee. Or maybe laying off the Lucky Charms would be more appropriate. Ya might be taking this stuff little too seriously. Unprofessional because they don't let you know every single change made to the game immediately? Please. Maybe you could send your scheduled playtimes to the devs and then they will be sure to email you regarding every specific change in the game as it is implemented. Is your email still <a href="mailto:

Many times if there are no patch notes, there was no PATCH, just server fixes, etc. If you search the forums you'll see a note from Grimwell from some time within the last 2 weeks, IIRC, on this exact same topic, explaining why sometimes we don't get patch notes and indicating that they're working on getting them to us for every little thing since the community has been asking for it.

Geez, get over it. The "patch" as you call it took all of 10 seconds, i seriously doubt something of that huge calibre is worth mentioning.
<p>Hey if you like being treated like a shroon fine, me I don't. </p><p>Did they patch change something big I doubt it, but it might of fixed one of the quests I am waiting on. But we don't know what it changed because they don't tell us. And if the patch changed nothing they could have told use that too. It is not today that buges me its is all the patches that happened with out notes. Too often things have changed with no patch notes at all. </p><p>The process they use to generate patch notes is to hacked together something when they get around to it. Certainly it is not a repeatalbe quality procedure. </p><p>I like a lot of the stuff SOE has done with this game. But the patch note process sux. SOE please fix it.</p>

*shrugs* They don't put up patch notes for the small, entirely behind-the-scenes changes; never have, never will. Heck, even when patch notes are posted, they probably only document a fraction of the changes that actually go live. No MMO is going to announce every single minor little change they patch into a game. Learn to live with it.

It's just common <span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"">curtsy.</span>

Seriously theres some things that they patch that most players probably wouldnt understand anyway, its just behind the scenes stuff...when you see that .exe file being edited it has NOTHING to do with quests or classes or anything in the game, its usually some small thing inside thats some technical mumbo jumbo that most wouldnt see any reason to post anyway. They didnt nerf your [I cannot control my vocabulary] class relax, take off your little tin foil hats.

They may have done something rather techniocal, such as streamlined a query to the databese about some arcane thing having to do with scripting. The thingt hey would post in the update notes would probably be "Did a bit of tweaking" And, well, people tend to be equally annoyed at those things. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Yes. I can see how a pach note saying "No actual game changes all files were server only fixes" would be incredibly hard to coordinate and do. I love reading the excuse box squeezed to death in these forums. Nonstop entertainment.

More is better then less. Unless you do things the lazy man way. I give an A when I see effort. When I see none I give significantly less. I bet people that rifle off excuses for anothers disinterested behalf probably walks around with a pocket full of them for themselves as well. I never provide excuses nor do I respect people who do. Well since my internet is extremely slow i got a chance to see some of the file names. Its clear to me this patch has to do with the upcoming update containing Neriak. Normaly when a big update is coming they like to trickle in some files before hand so thousands of people arent all flooding the update servers trying to download a huge patch when update time comes. When the update is out, pick 6 random lines from the notes and thats todays patch.., there you happy?

Knee jerk reactionism goes both ways....from pointless whining about patch notes, to complaints about a free expansion. Some people will never be satisfied...yet they line up to pay SOE each and every month like everyone else, (though I assume they're only paying for the privelege of hating SOE, and making darn sure everyone who reads the forums knows that).

SOE doesnt reply to you because your rude and crude, when one acts like a civil human being they are far more likely to get a reply from someone, and sometimes they dont reply, that doesnt mean they arent looking. What i hate is how you people treat SOE employees like sub-humans, they're people to, and people dont like it when your rude to them. Just because you are anonymous over the freaking internet doesnt give you the right to be an outright [Removed for Content]. This applies to almost everyone on thse forums. Nothing makes them happy NOTHING. EVERQUEST 2 IS A VIDEO GAME. When i dont like a bloody Video Game I DONT PLAY IT. its simple, i dont go on their forums and complain that i hate something or that the game developers are stupid. i just dont play the game, its as simple as that. What is the point in getting angry over something that is meant to relax you and have fun? Its gone way to far, i see why other companies dont use forums, because so many of the things on them are not constructive at all. Its just a bunch of people whining that actually know nothing about how the game works, what the devs are working on, what they have planned, OR ANYTHING. So i ask you why do you play if you complain so much?
