<p>I admit I searched for information, and found none.</p><p>What exactly does the +10 mining for pickaxe and +10 gathering actually do?</p><p>If your maxed 350/350, does it raise your chances of rares?</p>

Correct, higher harvesting skill raises chance of both rare harvest and multiple item pulls from a single harvest (3 or 5 thingies instead of 1, etc.). (At least this is what the update notes for LU24 said, when the current harvesting system was put in.)
