I have a couple of questiions. Firstly, if an armor piece says it boosts by +100 dmg one of our nukes does it means the combat line counterpart CA is boosted too? Secondly, there is an adorment for symbol slot that says boosts +45 to all cold dmg...not cold spell dmg...just cold dmg. That means it will also boost our combat CAs (combat line) or only our nukes. Thanks in advance.

A. I have no direct experience with this. B. I do have a paladin with a +45 divine damage on his symbol item. It only boosts Spells, not Combat Arts. I tried a Symmetry item once, also, and it also only increased spells and not CAs. C. Talk in the Warden board implies that the +damage to a particular spell does not affect its CA counterpart (they have a similar AA line). So, I'd assume that none of the new +damage effects of any sort will ever boost your CA damage.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I thought it would work like that with the particular spell bonus and their counterpart CA. However, you said you have a +45 divine dmg to your symbol. Your spells are supposed to count as divine dmg but are your CAs considered divine dmg? Does it say your blablabla hits blabla for blabla of divine dmg or is it slashing/piercing/slashing? I am kinda disappointed that the +45 to cold dmg would not increase our chilling strike and our cold dot.

Focus: Glacial Flames does NOT affect Glacial Strike.

I don't know about the symbol adornment. Haven't tried. But my guess is that it doesn't work with the melee attacks.

Yes, all Paladin spells and combat arts that do damage do Divine damage. (Except for the shared-with-SKs Doom Judgment). The divine-damage CAs do not benefit from the Symbol adornment that is "+45 to divine damage".

Thanks for your replies guys...although this kinda sucks...there is no obvious way to increase our dps except get a tad more str and maybe some dps adorment or the earring from Tunare signature quest to increase autoattack dmg. Melee mystics got a bit shafted with this I think. Since an armor piece increases a spell dmg it should also increase its CA counterpart imo. And i don't know any mystic usable items with Strike Force focus that increase CA dmg.

Thanks anyway

Bummer about the symbol adornment =(. Glad I haven't got my symbol upgrade yet so haven't put one on it.

I use the plus +45 cold dmg on my ranged item. no it doesnt benefit CA's but having that xtra dmg on Wrath of the grey and glacial flames is [Removed for Content] nice. When your focusing on maxing your str to increase your attacks it is an easy way to up those two when you do not waste to waste stuff on int and put str first. Pvp or Pve i can usually get a Wrath of the Grey, Glacial Flames and another Wrath of the Grey before anypk/mob gets close. So it is not the end all adornment but it is a nice add on to have. Vooo

Oh btw, it's worth mentioning that Glacial Flames is not on the same timer as Glacial Strike. So you can run both dots at once.

It's probably a bug, but we might as well exploit it.
