Try posting your connection problem on the technical board.  <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/forums/show.m?forum_id=4" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...ow.m?forum_id=4</a> Friday is the day Splitpaw instance zones came down for "maintenance" - any chance you were in one of those?  It should bounce you to the den (non-instanced) zone if so, but if it isn't for you then you just need to petition to have a GM move your character out of the zone.

Hmmm, lessee... the status website was reporting "All Servers Down" for 3 days. I'm retired and single so I have lots of time to check the status page on an hourly basis. I finally got tired of seeing it and yesterday, even though the website said the same thing I tried logging in and "Voila!" there I was, no prob. I'm one also who finds that "they" could be more timely with explanations and updates. Since there IS a status page I'm thinkin' that it should at least be up to date. <u>But then, what do I know...</u> <img src="/smilies/ed515dbff23a0ee3241dcc0a601c9ed6.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Nah there is some wonky stuff goin on in their databases.  While I haven't had such probs since friday.  I am on monday getting random boots/world offline msgs.  Along with the server suddenly not finding 4 of my chars even when I do make it to char select.

Well here we are over an hour past the time for the BRIEF update... Perhaps SOE doent really understand what brief means. perhaps they live on microsoft time? Greg

I just really wish that when they're gonna yank the servers down for upkeep or whatever that they be honest about the stinkin downtime to expect. I'd rather read a notice of approx 2 hr downtime and then have a surprise of it only being 1hr or so. I can't express how much I dislike seeing 1 hr expected and it ends up being 2-3 hrs. It really irks me that there's no info provided of what is being done and the constant incorrect downtime expectation. :/

Not sure why SOE can't get that message right. Maybe they need to delegate the task to someone. Right now I don't anyone has responsibility for that page, and that silly message which is never right.

It would be spot on if there wasn't an overriding concern; namely, that monthly charge which is the meter running even though one doesn't get to PLAY. Now, I know some smart wiser is gonna say that it isn't so much; however, what may be "not much" to you is a bit more to others. I live on SocSec and that money is my budgeted entertainment for the month. I'm fully aware of the ramifications in maintaining server(s) for these games but having done this I, for one, feel that Sony has at least a LITTLE responsibility to explain itself in a timely manner.
