Hoping to get some help here, seemingly have tried everything.

My girlfriend and I had played EQ2 when it launched for about a year or more off and on. Took a long hiatus from it and decided to come back yesterday. It's running fine on my machine, but, for some reason on hers the FPS is at a crawl, i don't have Fraps or anything like that but i'm guessing it's down around 1-3 FPS. Miserable.

The thing is, her computer runs all other games fine (Company of heroes, Vanguard: SOH, Battlefield2 just to name a few) and her computer ran Everquest 2 flawlessly in its first year or so, with the addition of KOS and everything.

The machine has an Nvidia 6800, 2 gigs of ram and a pentium duo. Can post the diag if needed, but all the drivers are up to date.. .9371

The FPS is even at 1-5 with the game at every setting at the lowest possible, i mean i've made this thing look like runescape and the FPS is still rock bottom. Is there any fix for this sudden change? Thanks.

I'd like you to try a cleanboot first, which will rule out RAM (unless there's bad ram). 1.Select the START button. 2.Select RUN. 3.Type in "msconfig" (without the &quot 4.Press OK 5.Select the STARTUP tab. 6.In the list, uncheck all boxes EXCEPT for SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY. If you use Windows XP, please note that SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY will not be listed - just uncheck the entire list. 7.Hit apply and then OK. Restart the computer and try the game again.
