Please fix "jump" for animal mounts.   /beg! Having jump do an animation, that only you can see and other players cannot, is pointless. It's no good for roleplaying because everyone would think you're just standing there doing nothing, and it's obviously functionally useless as well. Not being able to jump while standing still is a major nerf when you consider that people riding carpets can jump without moving. Sometimes you cannot get a run at what you are trying to get over. (a rock, a fence, whatever) It is incredibly inconvenient to have to dismiss your mount just to jump over a rock, and then wait as you recast it. You can die because of that.... This issue is compounded by the fact that animal mounts are further nerfed when backing up, versus carpets, again, which are not. So if you're trying to get over something and don't quite make it the first time, you have to slooooowly back up to try again whereas a carpet just hophophops over.... (I understand the difference in reverse speeds and although I don't like it, I don't necessarily disagree with it.) You guys are always trying to champion the cause of "ballance", but this couldn't be more unballanced.. You need to fix it so that: A) The "jump animation" is visible to other players (this should have been in place before this half-realized 'feature' was ever rolled out!), and, B) When you do the "jump animation" from jumping in-place, your effective position should be the same height as if you had jumped while unmounted or on a carpet. Meaning, you'd appear to be rearing up on your mount, but if you moved forward during the animation you could get over that rock, fence, whatever, as if you had jumped without an animal-mount. This would allow you to ballance the game by allowing players that choose animal mounts to get past obsticals that they should be able to, and could be able to before the legged-mount revision. I don't think one person on Norrath would be opposed to this! Thank you. (In-game /feedback'd too. Cast your vote, do the same!)

Did SOE ever say mounts were meant to over come obstacles?
