OK, just thought I'd toss this out here. Waht are some of your fond memories, be they good or bad, of EQ1?

I played EQ1 at the start and stayed into Velious. Took a break and came back sometime after PoP untill EQ2 was released. Some of the earlier memories was things like /shout Camp Check! Only to hear things like "Orc 1, Orc 2, Derv 1, 2 or 3, etc.

Or to just zone into the Oasis only to hear a lot of death and comments being made after someone trained the Specs or Giants to the docks.

I also missed the old CT zone (lvl 25ish) when they revamped it to a lvl 60+ zone.

I could go on and on with what I remember but will leave it for others to add their comments on.

The first time I saw the game a roommate of mine was playing it, and he was on his way back to CT (which, at the time, rubicite was selling on ebay for $100/piece).

I wondered why he didn't stop and kill the giant spider he ran by, having no concept of creature levels.

In my first few minutes of seeing the game though, I did learn the value of SOW, which had nothing to do with pigs.

Too many to count and too many more to make. I still play EQ1 as well as 2. For those that want to relive the EQ1 memories you can buy the Anniversay Edition now for only $19.99 and it includes ALL 13 expansions!

My first best 2 starting memories would have to be the time i finally decided to take my newbie halfling druid to the other side of the wall in misty thicket to see what was there, and then promptly being slaughtered by Mooto.

Then running around misty thicket when this godly paladin riding a cool horse galloped up to me and gave me a brand new weapon and a few peices of armor that for level 5 were out of this world, then giving me some buffs and finally saluting me as he rode away.

Others would include the first time laying eyes on a giant, dragon, and any other cool mob.

First time zoning into PON and POJ, those still remain 2 of my favorite zones in the game.

I really miss the slower pace. You would get a group, you had to, and sit somewhere with the same people for hours on end leveling. You didn't really move around b/c you really didnt want to die. There were camps and I kind of liked that style of play. Each person had a very distinct role to play. I miss some of the graphics, i really do. EQ2 i like as well, only the raids seem more like a button mash disco than a battle. Fireworks anyone?

PoP progression. I was not in a raiding guild and enjoyed pickup raids working my way through PoP. Also, LDoN was in my opinion THE best expansion for an MMO ever. The dungeons were long enough but not too long and if you put the time in you could get very decent gear for the time.

Yes.. old Cazic Thule.. L25ish ..oh the memories.. i think my fav story from there involved one of the many "trains" Me as a L24ish High Elf Wizard... some how got entangled in a train in the entrance tunnel manage to make it to zone out with about 60% health.... only to run smack into ...a bouncer running amuck laying hurt on everyone in the tunnel.... eek..ok..back into Cazic i go...with about 30% hp.....of course train is still there with a bunch of mad lizzys taking exception to my high elf self being there...back out ....whew.. bouncer is away from zone line now closer to exit/entrance of tunnel....manage to mem invis and cast it...with the thot being to go back into Cazic and get behind the "safe tree" (some may remember..back in those days.. invis was on..or off.. no warning when it is about to fail) so i zone back in to CT...with about 5% hp...making my way away from zone line...getting close to the tree...at the double doors now.....and POOF.. invis is gone...the two lowby mobs at the doors turn on me LOADING..PLEASE WAIT...

Horrible broken raids in PoP when first released. Spending hours only to get wiped because of a 5 sec mistake. Having to talk guildmates off ledges afterwards.

I *lived* in Najena....that zone was so much fun! Let's see....slowly walking to the bank in that ogre town after filling pockets up in Rathe Mountains...learning how to chain stun in the upper dogs camp in Velk's...hours of fun at the orc highway camp in Oasis...tradeskilling til my fingers bled to get the 8th shawl..etc etc. I still crack up every time I read that burned woods story lol.

I never made it very far in EQlive, but there are three little words that will be burned into my mind forever: D'Vin. To. Zone. Ah the fun of two or three groups, a couple other soloers, and myself, standing at the tunnel entrance to fight off D'Vin, the Emporer, and the fourteen or so other Orcs that would inevitably tag along. Good times .

D'Vin. To. Zone. then you will hate my next tale Every so often when i got bored i would take my 51 druid in to Crushbone. if the throne room was fully popped with dvinn and emp SoE(spirit of eagles -spell gives levitate and sow) invis. run up to trainer hill...run across to roof of castle.. go above throne room. lev down to window ledge...click off invis..wave to Dvinn. step off and run around the zone the long way... watch the shouts of DVINN to zone

"Train to left!" "No, don't train to left! Train to right!" *splat goes the group on the right cause they were fighting and didn't see the OOC spam* Ah, Karnor's And it's too bad that the person who mentioned trying to go back wasn't able to. I've gone back after a 2 year hiatus with EQ2 and I'm having more fun than ever before. I quit during OoW when EQ2 first came out, so I missed the mission rush in DoN and DoDH and the further development of the task system in the later expansions as well. I'm greatly enjoying EQ1 because the game now always gives you a variety of things to do. And I wouldn't say there's a slower pace. I just returned about a month, month and a halfish ago at 69 and I'm already 73 and have a lot more AAs than I did when I first returned. There's still something of the came mentality, but there's also a lot more moving around thanks to missions and just tasks in the zone that require more than just sitting in place. It's a lot of fun and I urge anyone thinking about going back to nab the anniversary pack and give it a whirl. I kept telling my friend I would never go back to EQ1 and now here I am playing it nearly every night and working myself up to join a casual raid guild.

My first character to break level 20 was a shadow knight, so I lived in Cazic Thule trying to get my armor (the name of it escapes me now). The black and red plate for SKs. Ah, if only I had gotten paid to hear "AoF to zone!!" AoF=Avatar of Fear. The only thing worse than seeing him hustling through the courtyard was seeing those darned claws sticking out of his fist every few spawns (bladed thulian claws, they used to be so uber).

Ahh, let's see... in no particular order...

• Camping Pzjyn for my GBS. It was like a show, I'd post a pet down among the rocks and then go up on the hill and watch the steady streams of mobs spawning across the zone and walking to the circle. Everyone had their own theory as to what her placeholder was, I remember being pretty sure it was a certain mob that would stop in a certain spot next to a log or fallen rock or something. That particular mob would only come in once in a while and Pyzjn only rarely popped after killing it. Once in a while she'd show up, and then her boyfriend who as I recall was meaner. By the end of most nights I'd have bags full of bat ears and skelly bones. Good times, good times!

• Running around in Oasis once, I wasn't paying enough attention... all of a sudden this very VERY large big toe appears next to me. I thought to myself "my goodness, what a very large big toe that is..." "Hmm, giants have very large toes..." "uh-oh..." BLAM!

• Working on one of the tradeskills, smithing or something, in PoK. I forget if I bought or made stacks of metal sheets or ingots or something, but making so many i could barely move and then staggering over to the forge or whatever device at about 1 inch per second. Oh and remember when they put in the "autochoose components" interface for tradeskilling? Gah, what an improvement over having to drag items one at a time into the tradeskill station... 500 times!

• As others have mentioned, running the Karanas. On autorun, in the level range where you were probably safe but there was the occasional ogre or werewolf. Seemed like it was always raining in the Karanas...

• Returning after a long hiatus, and running through the tunnel from Commonlands to the desert - and it was deserted! Before my hiatus there would always be scores of players hanging out there.

Oh man, so many memories. I played for so long hehe.

First EQ memory EVER though was (almost my last), just before or right after kunark release (like talking a day or so) I made a little Erudite wizard. Walked over to the dock and while trying to look at my inventory, dropped my bag. =( I couldn't figure out how to pick the dang thing back up then one of those notorious flying sharks came up and ate me while I was standing on the dock. heh. Deleted! Glad I had friends who played that talked me into trying a different char.

Second try was a human ranger in Surefall Glade. It all went pretty well until I died somewhere out in qeynos hills at night and had to find my way out in the dark. I somehow managed to go into the wrong tunnel, fell into some water in the cave and drowned lol.

"What's a Proon?" smack crunch loading please wait.

My first combine longsword! I could FINALLY hit those dang willowisps!

Grimfeather.

So many more.

I left shortly before EQ2 came out. I've just not been able to go back. Some of the changes I hate (particularly some of the mob graphics, I HATE the new orcs, bats and rats. hhhhaaatttee). Some of it is just how clunky the interface feels after using EQ2's for this long. (not just because it's a different game, I have several other games I play regularly).

Now that I've talked about it though I think I'll have to log on and see if they revamped anymore zone art. I was totally impressed with new nektulos V2 and the new desert of ro.

Arrr EQ1 I still think that in some ways it is the finest of the MMORPGs. Could be like a first love always remember it fondly!! I did play it the longest though ...

Anyway memories that someone else might recognise. Following high levels killing guards so you could loot the fine steel weapons from the corpses that were left behind. Made alot (well for a low leveler!) like that!

Corpse runs. Who can forget those? A missing aspect of all games since some would say. Got to have some detriment to dying or it means nothing.

Watching people begging for SoWs and Clarity ... Watching the same druids and enchanters getting [Removed for Content] off and training high levels to the docks. Oh the amusement.

Like others have said I could go on but I think I would start weeping for the love that is lost

For some reason a thing that comes to mind for me is the Halloween event where all of the skeletons would be crawling over certain zones at night. I started playing EQ1 about a month before halloween and my little Pally got smacked down by them several times trying to get her original corpse back, before I realized that at dawn the all went away.

Then the following year they had the same event, and I was able to walk through the commonlands and slaughter them all!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, I started playing because my b/f was, but he rarely played @ night, which is when my play time was. Because I have (& had) a difficult time remembering things, my first 20 levels were spent solely in Field of Bone & Kurns Tower! As a Dark Elf, it wasn't exactly the safest place for me. Finding Neriak again would've been a miracle. I must've died 30 times to 1 of the quest Iksar in the ruins where Kaesora entrance sits, & sadly I died to him again when I went to "get revenge" @ 60. The Tangrin gave me a big whoopin too, next time I visited him was about lvl 50 w/ an Enchanter friend =p What was that Wood Elf that always got charmed out there, anyone recall (too lazy to look it up =p )@ 70, I finally did get revenge on an old nemesis...Pained In The A--err, Pained Unicorn anyone? Even got screenies =p

Ninja looting! Back in the very beginning it was possible to have the loot drops be lootable in less than 2 minutes (open to public) and if someone looted the item you had no way to know who it was. Could of been anyone in your group or anyone that was hanging near while you were engaged.

Corpse Drag ability. Where if you died in a rather nasty place for your level that you could give someone permission to drag your body to a safe location. The problem was that by doing this that person also had full loot rights to your body. Giving permission to a, hmmm..., less than honest person could result in the body being picked clean.

I miss so much of EQ1... I can't even make a list, there are so many things. I find myself dreaming of EQ1, heck, my thoughts wander back to those days all the time! Remembering fighting dragons for the first time, completing my first epic, setting foot in the Plane of Time, running around zones like Chardock, ... I even have fond memories of playing on Stormhammer, and actually experiencing decent customer service. Those were the days! I miss EQ1. I really do. I wish the game that I remember still existed, I wish that I could go back... But you can never really go back, can you?

Ice Giant camps in Everfrost, kiting wyrms in Cobalt Scar, trying to get a druid to port me to Cobalt Scar so I could kite the wyrms lol. The Death Squad in Eastern Wastes (or was it Western Wastes??) while running to Kael. The Orc Minstrel and getting that lute! Running in circles kiting werewolves and hobgoblins in Plane of Nightmare with my bard until I never wanted to run another circle again.

Paludal Caverns and just waiting to get a spot in a group at the bandit camps, Blackburrow trains and mass killing gnolls at higher levels trying to build back faction with the Qeynos guards after ruining it in some stupid way or another. Highkeep Hold and the goblin rooms and everyone in there whining about kill stealing, loot stealing, etc. Like someone else said, killing the water goblins for their heads until they were nerfed and didn't make any cash any longer. Hill Giants! The guide quests that made them come to life and fight back for all of their family being slain repeatedly for their cash. Grieg's End and the creeeeeeeeepy sound effects in there. And the best has to be Splitpaw, where I spent just oodles of time with the person who ended up becoming the love of my life. Quadding snow cougars with my druid grouped with my boyfriend's druid. Going after Lodizal. Going Kurn's Tower with my necro looking for bone chips. Trains in Karnor's Castle...which way was it to train??!!! Yeah...lots of good memories in EQ1.

Two words - human blindness. Two more words - no torch. The first time I found the tunnel in EC and promptly got smashed by a mummy. I thought the tunnel was going to lead to a dungeon filled with mummies. The first time I got caught in a death loop in Oasis. Lesson: Never bind yourself at the docks!!! The first time a pair of friends tried to lead me and my husband through the Feerott and getting smushed by Hurd. OMG... Unrest! ~ Hag loose! Garenel to zone! (EQ2 guys did an EXCELLENT job recreating the zone) Being the envy of my guild because I had a full suit of BRONZE ARMOR. Lastly... Drelzna... I HATE her.. still to this very day. 74 hour jboot camp... waiting... endlessly waiting... leaving only to find out my boots dropped 5 minutes after I left... and they changed it to a quest the very next day... /sigh I hope the Shattering killed her in a painful way!

It's been mentioned before but my first trip through Kith Forest is probably my fondest memory of EQL. Nothing like running through a friendly zone and then all the sudden everything wants to kill you. "Bard train to <insertzone>" My favorite was swarming all of Dulaks till boat 1-4 was open and training mobs to Gunthak. Wooly Mammoth slaughtering in EF waiting for an IG camp or EF LDoN group on my mage. Trying like crazy to beat the rangers and dr00ds to Quillmane to get the cloak for Mage Epic. Getting lucky and the Ancient being up in Ro while running through and it dropping the ring for JBoots. So many memories so little forum space.

LOL, I just remembered another thing that you use to be able to do in the game.

Getting some nice weapon from a lvl 50+ mob and then going to Orc camp 1 and giving the weapon to one of the Orcs. Then waiting to hear someone shout in the zone OMG Orc so and so just droped [name of weapon].

Being lvl 1 with full lvl 50 gear on (before the lvl cap raise) [The true meaning of the word Twinked] and full lvl 50 buffs on and then sent out to kill all in your path.

The only way to learn a language was to hear others speak it over and over. Use to have language sharing nights.

Getting drunk in the game and actualtl having your speeched slurred and have you stagger all over the place. Midnight runs through Kithkor woods (thin that was the zone) naked and drunk. First one to make it to Highold Keep zone line alive was the winner.

Taking on the shape of another would alter your factions while in that shape. Use to take on DE form to go into DE town. I was KOS without it.

I miss LDoN adventures. I used to do them on my druid, with my husband's beastlord and our roommate's monk. Everyone said we couldn't do them and we DID...we WON all the time. It was a ton of fun. That and doing Crypt of Decay with that same group. And we had a couple of friends in Ohio who used to figure out ways to do raid-level encounters with just a small group...some of the insane stuff we did with them...wow. We once broke Fear AND LIVED with a group of 6 - a ranger, 2 monks, a shaman, a beastlord, and a chanter, I think. We lived, and we got one of the monks to meet Cazic to do his turn in for the Whistling Fists. It was amazing and cool.

Helped guild leader get the item (ring?) from the Ancient Cyclops in Sro.. Me on my 51 druid..him (on ALT) level appropriate for the zone so <20? (been a while ) we were there for about an hour..killing stuff...waiting for pop..the AC pops right on top of someone else and they got the kill... (it was near that tower in the gulley) a bit later.. i Just finished buffing him and was down to almost no mana...and BAM.. mr AC pops (amazing as it was right after the last guy got him) now normally i could have killed him fairly quick with my spells..but as i just did the buffs it was quite fun kiting the AC around medding btwn to get enuf mana for next spell...all the while expecting to have him kill stealed out from under us...oh ya.. and..was it fire or cold he was resistant to?? which ever it was i wasted the first 3 spells on him b4 friend told me about that so that did not help the low mana situation --- prior story.me L20ish wizzy.. gets into the Najena Drelzna jboots camp. felt lucky to even GET in that camp this about 8am on a sunday.. I was high up on list...fast forward....its now around 1030pm and i am #4 2 of my friends are ahead of me...but they finally packed it in and had to camp (one had to get up at like 430a est so 1030=130 to him) ..so this bumps me up to #2....i think it was a 20min spawn and boots were on average dropped on every 5th one if i recall... around 1050pm they dropped..nice..i am #1...but work next day...waited to next drop...and [Removed for Content]!!
My first ever character was a Barbarian Shaman because a friend of mine from a MUD I used to play said it was the best. She made it to level 5 before that same friend let me in on the trick of adjusting my gamma setting

Giving the same friend permission to loot my corpse after dying horribly to a train in Blackburrow only to have my corpse bug. Fortunately a nice GM was there to summon my corpse for me and protect me while I looted from three more trains. This is about the time I decided I hated Barbarians.

Playing an Iksar in FoB and watching people run the furbys to the guards. Yeah, guards didn't attack Burunai (I don't know if they do now) so any lower level character in the area got to learn of death loops!

Getting rid of my last piece of banded armor. I was level 47.

Getting my clicky SoW boots back when the Black Dire was still considered a full group with a good healer encounter. "You won't be able to slow him at 49". Bah, I slowed him, the level 49 SK tanked him fine and our three level 35-38 friends who came with us weren't totally "owned" like I was told they would be

Being able to loot the tear for my Shaman's epic. This was in 2001 I believe, I didn't actually finish the quest until 2006.

Trying to get a raid of 24 people to Phinny. Without the benefit of CoH. Without the benefit of an actual raid set up. Killing that fish and hoping that the person who actually needed the drops would be able to loot the corpse before some non-guild member that showed up could. Ahh, the fun days of locking corpses and hoping that the right person could get to it when it was unlocked.

Getting amiable with both giant factions in Velious, I still don't know why. Then watching my SK and Necro friends, also friendly with the giant kind, CR a Vindi raid by flopping. Corpse after corpse after corpse. Trains of giants very unhappy with the two Iksar doing the dragging. Two little level 50 lizards saving the day!

Switching to dragon faction and, at level 52, getting a succor across Siren's Grotto so we could go visit the dragons. Made it to ToV, ran through the west wing and had a total blast.

Going back to ToV on different characters a while later and learning of the pain that was melee push and fire pots.

Sitting in a room on the third floor of Dalnir waiting for a quest mob for the unfinished "Greenmist" quest. For 10 hours.

Swimming above a tower, under an island, in Lake Rathe waiting for a goblin. For 15 hours. I did this twice! Clicky sticks really were THAT important.

Doing the final fight for my Rogue's Ragebringer only to have someone bug the DE I was turning my box in to. AAARGH! I ended up re-doing the quest up until Renux before I got the box reimbursed by a nice GM, had my "Free"bringer the same day.

The old Plane of Hate and "if you get aggro, just die!" being interpreted as "if you get aggro, bring it with you to the camp! Really, we are unbuffed, unorganized and only about half here, sure we can kill half of the second floor plus whatever else adds between there and here!"

Plane of Fear and "if you get aggro, just die!" being interpreted as "if you get aggro, be sure to find some turmoil toads to fear us and scarelings to shadowstep us. Oh, if you can manage to grab a tentacle terror or two as well, that would be great! Bring them all to the "safe" spot, we'd love to have tea and cake with them".

Killing sirends in Cobalt Scar and laughing when my SK friend was charmed and he was hitting me. Sort of. Well, he was trying to. SK dps was so horrible

My friend, the aforementioned Necro, pulling in Akheva. "One"..."three"...."LOL" and a wall of aliens follows him to the zone line.

Getting three Master Wu's Trance Sticks in one day in CoM. We had three extremely happy Monks in our little guild that day.

I've gone back to EQ so many times I've lost count. It just isn't the same. It isn't necessarily that the game is so different (though it is) it is more that I'm different. The game that EQ turned into isn't the type of game I want to plaly.

OMG- EQ was like the Wild West of MMORPG's. It was unruly and uncivilized. It was full of all kinds of odd little bits and pieces and that's what I remember the most.

Remember when the big races had to be shrunk to get into many buildings? Remember when you had to buy shrink potions if you were an Ogre and wanted to go to SolA?

Remember that pool in the main city zone in Luclin that people would fall into and if they were a small race they couldn't get back out?

Remember when you could accidentally hit an NPC if you typed an "A" when you were clicked on him? Oh some memorable accidents from that one.

Oh and I remember the first time I tried to pick pockets and a rogue. I failed the attempt and the woman started beating me with her fishing pole and then the guards came and finished me off.

Remember when players had to practice feign death by FD'ing all the time"? Any time there was a wait for a boat or port the Monks would keep falling down.

Remember when you had to jump off boats and swim to islands and that was the only way to get there? Remember how remote and adventurous it felt to get to those islands and set up camp?

I also miss the "camp" feeling of EQ like another player mentioned. I miss just setting up in an area and pulling over and over again, with other groups nearby doing the same thing.

I miss Highpass. Great zone. I feel very sentimental about it. I loved the feeling that it was a bastion of civilizations squeezed into a mountain pass between two dangerous wilderness zones. I miss the secret rogue camp that you had to swim to.

I miss that some things were special and secret to some classes. Like evil races had to enter the dungeon to find their trainers and purchase spells. It was scary and dangerous in there but for a necro it was home.

EQI has an epic feeling I haven't found in EQII yet. Today is the year of 3770 which make her almost 700 years old. *chuckles*

I remember the first time I went down to the forest ground from Kelethin. (Ok second time, the first I just fell off and died hehe). I walked out into the Greater Faydark, got lost and almost panicked. I also remember the first time I saw Felwithes light spires, and the powerful music when I neared the entrance.

My favorite zone was probably Butcherblock Mountains. Let's see ...

My Iksar Monk -

Camping Pawbuster and getting him back to back. Then coming back the next week on a lark and seeing him up again. Getting one of the greatest EQ 'action shots' ever with the Luclin models - a flying kick in the 'box' room, foot connecting with Paw's face. Was pretty sweet, and now I want to find it again. *grin*

My Dark Elf Wizard -

Quad kiting in Katta.

My Dwarf Cleric -

Originally started on a 2nd account to be a rez bot, I actually grew to enjoy playing the cleric. Divine Arb is a GREAT ability, and one of my regrets about EQ1 is that I didn't get the chance to really experience the cleric class. I ended at level 63ish with about 20 aas, but I would have loved to have been 70 with 500.

My Troll Shaman -

My original baz mule made good. After something like 70 days /played ... all sitting on his [Removed for Content] in the bazaar, I decided to play old Idracab. When I quit EQ1, he was my highest level character (level 73) and was a soloing fiend (VP3 ftw).

My High Elf Enchanter -

90 minutes of non stop frog killing in Sebilis. Being told I was the 'greatest' enchanter ever, and keeping it a secret that aoe mez was, truly, for the win.

Camping the Iksar Betrayer (for my monk *cough*) at level 52. Was helped out by a friend (beastlord), pulling to the safe room. Realizing how much easier it was once I hit 53 and got the higher level mez, which meant I could actually lock things down! And then, finally, finding the Betrayer up (on my wizard who was chardok allied), logging in my enchanter (this was during the day, so my beasty friend wasn't on), and deciding that you only live once! (of course, you live about a thousand times in EQ) So I went and charm pulled my way to the betrayer (very fast respawn in this area), and got him down to 10% before charm broke and I couldn't get it under control. *whimper* Dual wielding hasted pets can hurt!!! I ended up getting the betrayer a few weeks later. This was also the catalyst for getting a second account, so I could do the turn in on my monk w/ my enchanter charming.

Halls of Honor solo charming at 63. Getting an obscene amount of aa xp at this camp. My record was 1 AA in 26 minutes (before double xp and the like).

Having so many insta AA abilities that I felt like I could get out of any jam ... once every 30 minutes. Statis + Eldritch Rune + Regular Rune + Doppleganger + whateverelseimforgetting.

And finally ... pulling North Ro LDoNs. This was probably my BEST time in EQ. Enchanters were, bar none, the best pullers for Tak (or whatever the nro dungeon was called). I made an art of pulling these missions, and no matter how fast the group killed, I always had 1 mob in camp and 1 or 2 waiting and mezzed for when it died. In my LDoN career across all dungeons, I ended up with something like 120 wins and 0 losses, and 25ish and 0 on hard missions. And these were all with PUGs (I never liked being in a guild on my enchanter). But my favourite LDoN moment was with a VERY bad pickup group (one of my only really bad ones). It was taking forever and a day to get anywhere. At the time I was something like 40 and 0 in LDoNs, and I wanted to keep my win streak alive. We were down to under 10 minutes left and had 5 or 6 mobs to go. The healer went LD, the tank was pathetic anyways, and the DPS apparently didn't understand the theory behind the D part of that acronym. Well I did NOT want to lose, so while everybody had resigned themselves to not finishing, and were waiting for the healer to get back to rez the tank who had died, I said "Fudge it" (except not fudge) and went to town. Charmed one of the golem creatures (only one that could be charmed) and threw caution to the wind. The nice thing that LDoN had gotten right was that only 1 type of mob per dungeon could be charmed, and they couldn't be rooted or snared (which obviously made things a LOT more difficult, but also more fun). So while everybody sat in another room and sulked, I went out and went crazy on the rest of the dungeon, and I managed to pound out those last 5 or 6 mobs in 10 minutes solo to preserve my perfect ldon record. Was just a huge amount of fun.
