Not to spoil anybody's fun, but today when I did the warg quests with my summoner I got it transferred as my primary pet and stayed there even after I "returned" it.

Not that big a deal for the first couple parts of the quest, but I think the final part you can capture a ^^^ 69 heroic and it will defend you by default (though I didn't try it, I used the solo warg).

I also had some weird issues with being considered in combat with all of this.

Might relate to the /pet hide thing too.

hehe .. on the 2nd quest the wolf died on me ... The quest told me to return to the guy with the wolf, but I did not have a harness anymore since I had used it. So I figured I would try to charm another wolf for the turn in. I charmed and ran back to the questgiver and it updated normally (sadly using my charm did not advance the quest like the harness does).

Yes, all but the second wolf died on me before I got them back (on the third one, both me AND the wolf died on the way back but i was able to hand in the final quest when I respawned). I guess that's not surprising becuase I did it at L56, but you do NOT need the wolf anymore once your journal has been updated telling you to return. The guy will still behave as though you have the wolf. As a side note, once my wolf started fighting enemies, I couldn't call him back again...kind of sucky since he picked on an enemy tougher than him but that was his mistake I guess...

Well we all know those dogs were bred for fierceness and not intelligence, else why would they attack lvl 70 players in fabled gear

LOL Very good question. It's too bad the mount ones don't seem to be bred for fierceness...it would be sweet if there was a bonus health loss imposed on encountered mobs while you were fighting riding a wharg. Don't get me wrong, tho...I'm one of those folks who's just happy for the new look 5% higher speed vs the 40% speed mounts. I'm glad SOE takes the time with fun stuff like this from time to time...certainly improves the look of my evil toon over the horses he was able to afford for 5 plat which didn't look very imposing (and I gave up hope of a nightmare horse a long time ago...)

The problem lies not in his breeding but in the 300 pound ogre sitting on his back!

Dunno about fierceness, but they were sure bred for slobbering....
