I've had EQ2 about a week and absolutely love the game. It is far superior to any other MMORPG I've played out there. The only problem is it's near impossible to find a group at lower levels on my server, Lucan D'Lere. So I'm thinking of taking advantage of the upcoming server moves. What is the most active server for people in there 20's, maybe 30's? No PVP, and don't really care about RP since people on Lucan almost never do.

Sadly, the game is a few years old now and so the majority of the people playing have at least one level 70 toon and many alts all probably around level 40+. You will come across the odd new player or somebody rolling a new alt toon, but overall, the player base is all piled up near the top end. It won't matter much which server that you are on. I see a lot of lowish toons on The Bazaar server, mainly because this is an exchange server and people sell their high level toons for cash and roll new replacement ones. It may be your best bet.

If you had started playing when the Echoes of Faydwer expansion was released a few months ago, you'd have found lots of low level Faes flying around in Greater Faydark near Kelethin. Most of these Faes are level 50+ now and there are even level 70's flying around.

What times do you play on LDL? I have no trouble getting or creating groups in the 20+ level range. I do have to be active though as just setting the LFG flag is pretty usless as there are so many people advertising for groups people starting groups pick from those first. I play EST times.

Check out Unrest when you can. We actually have a couple of threads that were recently started addressing low level characters looking for homes.

Since you joined the forums in April of 2005, I take it that you are a returning player rather than a new player.

The level 1-9, 10-19, 20-29 and the /ooc chat in the lowbie zones on AB have been very busy with questions from many obviously new players, which indicates that, yes, there are new players joining the game and not everyone is a veteran with a stable of level 70 characters. And unlike LD, people on AB actually do roleplay, if that is something you are looking for in your game.

I have 2 characters on Vox that are mid 30s. My highest level character is my 33 Templar on Vox. I have played EQ2 off and on since it was released.

Yah, I am a returning player. When I last played back in 2005 it was an okay game, but now it's quite different and very fun, but still has a challenge unlike WoW. I guess my problem is that I usually just throw up a LFG and expect people to come to me like it was back in EQ1. I still do think I'll get off LD, if only to get to a higher population server. Crushbone has the most players from what I hear.

My server, Permafrost is full of new people and alts at low levels, I myself have a 15 SK, 22 Mystic, 20 Necromancer and a 17 Fury all waiting for action on that server and would love to group at the lower levels.

OOC chat is also full of people 20-25 wanting groups for Blackburrow, Stormhold, Crushbone etc and there is a large amount of 'newbie' questions asked which would suggest these toons are not alts but new players.

As I have mentioned before in another thread, I think WoW has brought EQ2 some players it would have never got, by introducing people to the MMORG genre in general and them looking for something a little bit different (like crafting with more than one click for one example - but I am not starting an EQ is better then WoW thread so will ignore any replies pertaining to that!!!)

In relation to the guy on Oasis server, I can offer you 2 flasks for stale water, but I really need the flasks back when you're done if thats ok!
