Empowered Ghoulbane for Evil Toons - Ore or Capillaries?

I was under the impression that evil toons were supposed to use the enchanted azurite capillaries for their update instead of the enchanted adamantine ore.  It looks like right now all toons, good and evil, use enchanted adamantine ore.  If this is correct, what's the point of the enchanted azurite ore?  Do these have any use at all?

Anyone who hasn't completed the Ghoulbane heritage quest is charged with getting an azurite capilary. Evil or not.
