What happens to a guild with zero members?

Does a guild with zero members still 'exist' on the server, thus preventing others from starting a guild with the same name.  Or does the name become available again? I ask as my recent starter guild has found itself without a leader (when the idiot accidentally deleted the wrong char from his account). We have petitioned for somebody to be made leader, but we can just as easily start over.  We would, however, prefer to keep the name. Any ideas?

A guild with zero members is disbanded and ceases to exist.  You should be able to make a new guild with the same name.
