God pet command UI has returned, this poses nothing but headache's for those pet classes out there. Is there a reason its returned? Temperary Quest items prior to patch dont have the added notes... so to all those vets still holding onto forgotten items, till they can remember what they do..... doesnt alleviate them too much. New Temp items, seem to be labled with quest tho. oh, and the required amt of enchanted adamantine for Empowered Ghoulbane is still 12

So is the warg on the production servers 45% speed at 5pp cost? Does it back up as slow as a horse? agressiv

Problems:

I tried to save my graphics settings and I got booted out of the game with a memory error, followed by a C++ error. Logged back in and now I get this same crash and set of errors frequently. Seems something isn't right in the graphics saving system. And, yes, I use the default UI.

Complaint:

The warg quest is way, way too short and simplistic. "Earning" the right to buy one is a formality that might as well not be there given how quick and easy it is. I'm also a bit bummed that the speed got nerfed down to 45%, but now I can see why given the ease of getting a warg.

Suggestion:

Add a followup quest line that makes you go into the various instances in EoF (non-raid only please) that gives you access to a faster, armored warg. Otherwise, the people who already have faster mounts have no reason to do this quest outside of novelty.

Thanks Dev's for making this new mount +45% speed, not hurting this already week guild system. Serious problems with Diety Pet UI. The God Pet UI does not function and only serves to block out the summoner's true pet UI. This needs to be hot fixed ASAP.

I really love the new warg mount. Although I think you should change the wording of the "black striped warg" ... it's actually a brown warg with black stripes ... but love the mount overall - great rearing animation, too. Can we get a /roar vocal emote to go with it? Horses do their thing, afterall ... I'm excited to see about what these new changes in Nektulos and Commonlands are about ... a new portal near the Thexian camp ... and a new gate near Dog Trapper Lake ... very interesting. Not to mention ... what are the warlock-like "spellsplitters" in the Freeport Mage Tower? Hmm ...

Also, /hide pet only hides your own god pet? Of what use is that? I need to be able to hide all the god pets, especially in raiding situations. Even hiding the swarm pets too would be nice.

I am still missing the most important update of all...... When will the devs find a way to prevent raids from selling of "looting rights" to No Trade Items to people outside the raid?? The practice of halting the raid, adverticing the loot and then droping one member from the raid to admit the buyer so he / she then after paying for it will loot the chest (with the No Trade item) and leave is in my opinion nothing but farming for profit. One Guild on AB "Eidolon" has made this an everyday event. It could be as simple as locking the instance to any outside player for as long as a chest is not looted. I.M.H.O. selling and auctioning looting rights are not what the developers intended when they made an item that drops in a raid or other instance NO Trade...you might as well get rid of No Trade items all together because it has become a useless label since raid guilds found this loophole and openly exploid it. I believe in doing so they are in no way different then the person who writes a script for a robot to gain advantage of the game mechanics... J.C.

New Bugs

My kerra was hanging out on the newbie island today when someone came up and starting /say ing at him. He couldn't understand because they were speaking Antonican and, evidentally, he only speaks Argot anymore, although he understands both Common and Kerran, but "can't change language on this server" (pvp).

/shout isn't understandable either, but /ooc and /tell are.

Later, he went to the bank and couldn't "access the shared bank until he zoned". A few minutes later, a friend showed up and I asked if he was having problems with his shared bank and he said that some stuff he'd just put in there had disappeared.

I could, however, access the guild bank. I took screenshot of the contents in case they disappeared. I've shut down EQ2 and just finished rebooting. Thought I'd stop in here on my way back in case anyone else noticed anything.

Hope this doesn't affect my other toons as life without the shared bank will be, very frustrating.

Searching the broker is now more intuitive:

Each word you search for can appear in the item name in any order.

Use a dash (-) before a word to indicate that the word should not appear in the item name.

This doesnt make sense... why use a " - " How many items have hyphens? So intead of narrowing your search by typing out the entire item they dont display at all now lol, because they are flagged to NOT appear....

When my Mystic dog dies (and thats quite often beleive me) the diety pet is taking over as the primary pet both with its own window and all the buffs that should be on the dog. I'm having to kill the diety pet before I can resummon the dog, buff him then resummon the diety pet.

From what I have been reading this is affecting all classes that have pets.

It is very annoying and time consuming.

J.C.

The problem is that there are only 24 people allowed in the raid zone and if you have one Dirge and he has the Dirge shoulders already then that loot is close to useless. In my guild we do not sell the rights to it but we do allow another Dirge in the guild that is on come in and loot it. Your plan would prevent that which is not fair to the guild. I personally do not care if people sell the loot rights to a chest. It makes no difference to me. The majority of players in this game are casual or solo players and they pay the same as you and I do so maybe they should have the oppourtunity at that loot one way or the other also. Buying could be their only chioice. You sure can't do EoF in a pick up raid.

I don't know what the solution is, but I am sure it is not what you suggest. BTW, i'm not a hard core purist, i just like the cute fluffy things that I see in the game. I understand that it doesn't have all the combat +'s that the higher level guild horses have, but at 4 plat and change, and 3 short quests, I think its a steal. And the fact that the quests themselves pay out roughly 13g apiece was pretty cool. Overall, i give a grade of A to the Devs for the Warg.

Thank you for the addition of the Warg mount. I think the manner in which it is implemented is exactly what was needed. It's a mount any player can obtain once they reach an appropriate level. The cost is not beyond the means of even a casual player, and the quest accommodates the solo play style. I think it was also considerate that the quest itself resulted in just under half a plat, thus bridging the money gap for players who were perhaps close to obtaining the needed funds but perhaps fell a bit short. The Warg offers some much needed diversity to the landscape. Well done!

The display settings save options are a terrific addition, thank you very much for improving the UI. This and the recent macro upgrade have really made a wonderful difference in facilitating user control and personalization.

Quest Sharing seems like a terrific idea, but I'm reserving judgment until I've seen it in action a bit more, I still have some concerns about exploitation. Once I've been able to experience it a bit more I'm hopeful my concerns will fade.

Tagging quest items for which quest they are tied to - WONDERFUL. But an examination of several quest items I have in my bank did not show these tags. Is this only being applied to items received after the update? I would very much like to see this retroactively applied to items already in existence as it would be very helpful to most pack rat players like myself.

Armor drop distribution...this is the only one that seemed to fall short in my opinion. I share the sentiments several others have expressed that this does not seem like it will make the experience better.

As always, thank you for continuing to work to make our gaming world better!

Some have already noted that the new functioanlity in the Broker Search makes it difficult to search for items with the '-' in their name. You end up having to run a much more generic search, which can produce overwhelming results. This wasn't intended in that tool, and in a coming hotfix searches with a dash and a space will work. So searching for: Grimwell's Grimoires - The Depths of Magnitude will work. Searching for: Grimwell's Grimoires -Funny Letters Equal Power will fail (with the -F lacking the space, funny will be excluded).

Hello,

A couple of things I'd like to point out:

1.) I was able to share the first quest of the Warg series with a friend. He got the harness and captured a wolf, went to turn it in, and the starter NPC didn't have a book over his head and he wasn't able to complete that step of the quest. He had to delete it and get the quest from the NPC for it to work.

2.) The choices of colors between the Warg mounts would lead one to believe that they are actually different colors, but it appears to me, the difference between, grey, black and brown are not even noticable. I would like to suggest that the coloration variations actually be noticably different between the different color choices.

One other comment. I was riding my Warg (45% run speed) behind a friend on a horse (40% run speed,) and I wasn't able to pass him up! That leads me to believe that the additional 5% run speed increase is so insignificant as to not be even noticable. How about adjusting the speed so that you can preceive an enhancement?

Thanks.

Armous

Brigand of Alpha Legion

Blackburrow server

Hmmm 5% speed increase..lets see how far where you behind your friend? Why do I ask you say? Well, let have a look in the real world, You are driving along a 4 lane Hwy only you and your friend. No other cars, You are driving behind him at 42 Miles per hour and he is driving 40 miles per hour (you are 5% faster then him). If you are 100 yards behind him how long do you think it will take you to a catch up to him and b pass him? In the game even if you would go perfectly straight you will need to go all the way across Antonica and then some before you will be able to pass him. 5% speed increase is not a valid reason to get this mount...to have something new, different, for some its to show of...thats all reasons that are valid.....5% speed alone is not worth the coin you spend. Here is a link to a discussion of the very subject on this board. http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=355414

PM me and I will send you a link to another thread where it was discussed on a different board.

Archonix wrote:

EvilIguana966 wrote:
So in other words, you made the system worse than it was before. In the event the encounter you've defeated can not find any valid classes matching loot in it's table, it will roll a random piece from it's table, in which nothing would be different then how it operated in the past. Nothing is stopping anyone from inviting a friend/guildmate/etc to join the group and loot that particular piece of loot.

If you can't manage to pass someone on a slower mount with your warg, maybe it's bugged. Even the 3% difference between a warden's runspeed and a 48% mount is noticable over a relatively short run, say from the druid ring to the ramp down to the BB docks (you can see yourself catching up to the warden bit by bit if you are starting from behind).

Those things are bloody expensive, and while I don't relish the thought of having to re-do the adventuring parts of the quest I'd like to not be ripped off for the value of my Enchanted Adamantine Ores simply because they are quest items and were "absorbed" by the quest system when they were procured.

Plasma Boost Wand Does not show up as a proc (in logs) or as a buff bar. So there is actually no guarenteed way to see if it's actually proccing as it says it is.

The lvl75^^^ guards in front of the Academy of Arcane Science in NFP - although very cool lore-wise - are making it difficult for Qeynos/Kelethin/Exiled players to get the update for the dragon rune inside for the "To Speak as a Dragon" quest since he apparently sees through invis/stealth. Perhaps a fix could be to either make him a roamer or reduce his aggro range?

My Fae character seems to have had his bind point reverted back to the Nursery...side effect of being able to do the Ties that Bind quest?

Game Update 34, although small, seems to have been really cool!

The quest for the ability to purchase a Warg mount was very fun. Completed it last night at level 57 - yay! I look forward to doing it on a couple other characters I have over 60...as soon as I farm some more so I have a tad more capital. THANK YOU for making a quest that can actually be completed solo, unlike the carpet quest. I'd almost rather have an easier quest and then pay some money to purchase a mount than have a quest that's too difficult for me to complete alone or with a small group until I'm 10 levels above it.

Thanks for quest sharing, too! Can't wait to try that out.

hi the new mounts are very nice i think but they to slow. I think every mount is to slow. My Mystic runs with 50% runspeed without a horse or something. It is a nice to sit on a horse ore something else but not very effectiv. Why become all mounts not 50% more speed than now? I think that a horse can run much more faster than 50% more than me

I think there should be a way to increase the run speed of all mounts, like a add on quest or something. I think 100% isnt to much to ask for, a 150-200% would be though. And to make it fair for those who earned there horse the hard way, make them have a higher % than the new mount after both mounts have gone through the "upgrade" quest. Carpets should upgrade to the speed the new mount would have after the "upgrade".
