Is Mantis Bolt bugged?

The description of Mantis bolt is that on a successful hit this spell has a chance to proc. You will have 24% if you put 8 points on it. Based on description "successful hit", it should proc on both auto-attack and combat arts as long as it is hit. However, By my parse, the proc rate is roughly only 10% without counting my combat arts. After checking my log one by one, mantis never proc after my off-hand hit. I wonder that's why the total proc rate is so low. I would like to know if any monk has the same situation. If it is bugged, let's report it.

Keep in mind that proc rates are scaled to weapon delay and Mantis Bolt is no different.  The base rate is scaled to a 3.0s delay weapon, so if you are using a 1.6s delay weapon, the rate is only 12.8% ... pretty close to the 10% you are seeing.  Procs also will not proc on off-hand hits.  This is an attempt to balance DW versus 2-handers.  You cannot get additional procs from a second weapon.  The procs per minute will scale with haste, although the proc % will not.

they took out the true % chance procs.  This ability procs roughly 5 times a minute now.  If you are using a slow weapon it will have a higher % proc rate than a really fast one.  it ends up being around 50-75 dps on a raid when you are in offensive stance, much less when you are solo.

<p>yeah well this just makes me wanna respec outta it :/. quite honestly</p><p>my adornments on my weapons and my imbued procs go off about 2-3 times as much as 8 poits into mants bolt. so im prolly gonna respec just dont know to what.. </p>
