I made my ranger back when eq2 first came out! Unfortunately i got my ranger to 30 then made a guardian who is now lvl 70. That being said I'm a noob to the ranger class, my dps seems to be ok I'm just wondering what stat's do what for a Ranger. I have concentrated on STR and AGI but i have no clue what to really work on could you fellow rangers help me?

Thanks

Dellona 45 Ranger, Terisanna 35 Monk, Ilam 43 Conji, Zerina 70 Guardian!

Glad to see you came back to a ranger =) Stat wise strength affects both our melee and ranged damage, therefore it's a key stat to raise. Agility along with strength increases our power pool, agility also increases our avoidance. Intelligence increases the damage with do with spells and procs (poisons). Some rangers choose to raise this stat as high as they can as well. Stamina = HPs Wisdom = Saves. Check out some of the stickied threads for some great general information as well. Hope that helps =)

As has been said, STR for melee and ranged damage, INT for poisons, AGI+STR for power. Concentrate on STR, then INT. I would say you can ignore AGI completely because all the gear you will pickup will most likely have shed loads of AGI anyway, and we self buff it. STA is useful when soloing, or if mobs have large AOE's, or if you get overzealous with your DPS :p Added HP can save you in those panic moments. But in my opinion its not really a stat to worry about. We're not tanks! WIS will increase your overall resists, but again, in my opinion its not enough of a gain to make sacrificing STR or INT worth it.
