I'm a 31st Wizard. Swiftly heading for 42. However. I have a problem, -- I started a bit late with my AA's, and I currently only have 11. I've maxed out the Magi's Shielding, because I'm on a PvP Server, and I like to survive the rangers first volley of arrows. But-- Now where do I go? I solo alot, if that helps. I put my last point into the first KoS AA, heading for the WIS line, to maximise my damage, and obliterate those druids.

It's interesting you recognize that there are a ton of other topics on this exact topic, yet you didn't seek them out...

^ What he said, but aside from that you can't go wrong with the sta line. physical resistance, disruption boosts and manashield are all killer moves for solo and pvp. As for the wizard tree i'd suggest the cold line for resists, manaburn is a long cast and has rediculous restrictions in pvp.

I'd absolutely recommend 10 points in Magi's Shielding, max out all your options for cold line except for glacial wind and electrifying flash, and for sure max out your Mail of Frost. Max out your disruption/focus (without it you are [Removed for Content]) and put 7 points in physical mit, and for sure grab manashield. I solo'd for quite some time, and if you've got the butterfly totems, those assassins aren't as scary as they used to be. However this recommendation is strictly for soloing, as you said you do. But I just respec'd to get manaburn since i'm often grouping, and dying isn't really a part of my agenda anymore. Also I went down STR line for Catalyst and avoidance boost. I've been extremely successful with both setups, and I hope that if anything, this may help you make decisions. Just remember, the only reason we die is either A: We get jumped and aren't paying attention. this can be avoided. B: We get resisted. We can't control this, and in end-game content (and 20-60 twink pvp), the entire game becomes a struggle between diminished return curved Disruption/Subjugation Vs. Resist checks. C: The other player is better than you. F$%& them! YOU'RE BETTER THAN THEY ARE!! Good luck out there!! Gogo Wizards!! P.S. if you get jumped, remember that your stifle should be the first thing you use. or if you know you're dead... evac!

Oh? Because last i checked, manaburn could only do 40% max health in damage on PvP, as well as having 1 damage to 1 power ratio. I'd call those killer restrictions, as if the PvE ones weren't bad enough. Also, I find sta + wis to be a winning combo for damage and defense in PvP, I must admit I've never tried the str line. Other than that, your advice is solid.
