Not sure where to post this so I will just post it here. I made the MISTAKE off selling my Mark of Awakened Intellect was wondering if there was any plans to make it available to buy back from the Shady Swashbuckler cuz that would be great

well actully, I have sold an item by trying to mark it "not for sale" because i enabled double click to sale.

Why is a game less appealing to you if they add in a feature you wouldnt use but others might to correct a mistake the made by simply mis-selecting.

It has nothing to do with game play if you want archaic gameplay and features www.everquest.com is still a game maybe you should look there for enterainment.

Heh. I had a similar thing happen. I was giving a bunch of old gear to Marr. The pointer is off a bit with Profit UI it's a known problem, but I hadn't realized it before. So about half way through my I accidentally click OK and gave away my hoo'loo hat. Not a huge deal as I never wear it, but I liked having it since I have the other swash hats and I liked summoning the owl. I would love to be able to buy my hat back from Hoo'loo or the swashbuckler, or heck even repeat the quest. I guess I don't see why HQ items are there when other non-repeatable signature quests are not. Oh well, guess my owl is gone forever.

You could try petitioning it? I've heard of GM's giving unfortunate players sold items back.

If you cant answer in a respectable manner, dont answer at all. Its people like you that makes this game less appealing to me.

To the OP... there has been alot of talk and requests from players regarding a means to "buyback" your sold to NPC items, either buy some means of a Buyback tab, or better ways to let you control what is sold and bought (read some very good suggestions in these forums already), but there has been no feedback from Sony yet. If you feel something like this should be added to the game, send some Feedback to Sony... it never hurts.

Cheers,

Yeah, I'd petition it...I know of peeps who've gotten stuff back that way. (Please forgive me, overbooked CSR's lol)

Also, i recommend disabling double-click selling....I've heard of ppl accidentally selling rare masters that way. The feature really doesn't save that much, by contrast to the risk, IMHO.

There should be a way to get anything you sell to a vendor back.. just like in EQ1.. /shrug

What they really need to do imo, is to add a way to mark an item as no-sale outside of the merchant windows. Having to disable features (ie double clicking) to protect your items is a workaround, but it shouldnt be necessary. If you can put a no-sale flag on an item from your bag windows a lot of accidental sales would be prevented, granted not all as the human factor remains and will always find ways to make mistakes but itd help a bit.

Granted, it's a brand-new feature, but it's really helpful. I put food & drink, poisons, clicky things I use regularly like my carpet & fishbone earring, patch kits, & so on in one bag, marked it off limits to merchants, & I'm happy.

you cant buy it back: because if you transmute fabled item and then buy it back for few gold etc... you see the point...

Yeah, but having a log of what items you SOLD to a merchant and then being able to buy those back from a merchant are totally different than transmuting the item or offering it to your deity. I think adding a "buyback" option would be a good move, although I also realize this isn't the forum to suggest things like that =/
I agree with the OP and hope this gets changed one day. Look for it in my fake GU35 thread.

I sacrificed my guild's only Honor of Pantrilla to Innoruk while in a rush before a raid (using Profit UI). I begged and begged and begged a GM but no avail But rewards from the epic signatures... the heritages... and those quests should be available for purchase from the shady merchant. Why would a god be interested in a quested piece of gear like a hoolah hat, or other quested items you can only get once. I don't think the idea of sacrificing items was intended for one of a kind quested items. Thanks for pointing out the no sell bag option.

At the very least there should be an option to do the quest a 2nd time, but make the reward for the 2nd one "no value"
