For a higher tier questline than the carpet quests and costing 10 plat in addition, there should be a higher runspeed on these mounts. Even better would be to just add other versions of the wargs which offer equivalent stats to the horses in the game for the same costs/requirements.</p>

The original pick of the mount showed some sort of bridal, unless that was a doctored photo =P. Does this mount have a sadle and ranes or we talking bareback? Cause i dont think a warg/worg looks as cool with a big rope in his mouth.
I highly doubt any big development changes will come to the mount with only a week till release. I'm just happy to be getting a new mount! The other changes are cool too but the mount is the frosting on the cake on this one! It's been a long time comin' thanks devs!

<p>For the most part game updates are cool and are always welcome but.......</p><p>Can we for once seen some recipes added from the new zones? EoF has some really cool furniture! I have been seeing alot furniture that should of been added with DoF as well like the furniture in Poet's Palace, the rugs, and beds through out DoF zones if possible some day. I would like to see some furniture that is already in have matching furniture with them? I have seen alot of tables/desks/etc have no chairs and vice versa with chairs having no tables/deaks. I really did love the furniture out of the t6 advanced books but feel you missed some and hope that devs can take a stroll aound all zones and see what can be added through out the whole game. I would like to suggest to check out Enchanted Lands/ Rivervale houses/stores and I actually seen a cool looking bed and a table that matches a chiar that we have recipe for but no recipe for the table in DFC. ......and I would still like to see the rest of the recipes added from the furniture that used to sold by the npcs especially the bookshelves and stove! Pretty Please? I can go on and on about all the furniture I would like to see but know that needs to be made in different area of the forums</p><p> This new ride is only going to have 40% run speed? ok, that is not right at all when the carpet quest give same thing in runspeed, it should be more like 45 or 48% at least considering who it is intended for and that is the higher lvl toons and also that we have to pay for this too unlike the carpet quest. </p>

The 10pp Horse is also 40% runspeed so doing a relitivly easy quest allows you to buy the same speed mount that is available at the Stables but with a far better graphic... or maybe they should just buff all Pay mounts(or nerf the Free carpet) so that people don't use the carpet.

Second have you tried changing weopons? I know my monk completly changes the way she fights if she goes from "fist Weopons" to the Fist Wraps, to the Bo/quarter Staff, to the batons. My Swash does as well going from 1-handed to DW.</li><li> Thats what the RP PvP server is for, get all the players together and stage city invations, why do the devs need to be involved in an attack Q or FP?</li></ol>

I like the warg the way it is..on RP servers like AB which i am on, looks can be more important then speed increase if your a roleplayer like myself...and to be honest..that warg would be an awesome companion to my nightmare i have currently equipped to my necro

Why is there 10 plat associated with it? That doesn't make any sense. I'm hoping that's just one of the many rumors flying around and not actually what the devs planned. EDIT: Eep, I only read the first page of posts. I still disagree with the 10 platinum if there's a quest associated, but meh. I remember the first time I saw them begin to appear. It was so cool to see the "ubers" ride around on them....now everyone has them and consequently they are devalued, especially as they are effectively free. Of course you have the flying Maj Dul that ups your speed slightly but I do think that a free item shouldn't necessarily be able to out perform something you are prepared to pay into the plat sinks for.</p>

Im not flaming the raid guilds - you guys earn your items and status etc etc, and i salute you for it, but lets call a spade a spade, its the casual gamer that feeds the money to SOE. The rumor circulating on Mistmoore right now is the warg mount is now 50% run speed and costs 5pp on test. Is there any truth to this?

<p>Sorry about the reposting the post - not very familiar with how to quote. But , to repeat the Main point, its the casual gamer's money that SOE needs to keep this game running and so they will go out of thier way to make them happy. <p>While still waiting for a supposed 2 hour downtime which still isn't up at 12:30pm EST, I decided to read this and post a reply. </p><p> What do I think of the update? Bleh! So what we get a new dog mount that offers no other use but to be something different to ride. Personally I'm not giving up my 14p war barded horse @ 50% run speed for a stupid little dog I have to quest AND pay for. No way! YOu want to add a mount to the game, put a dang ridable dragon in and make it tough to get so that not everyone has one. </p><p>If you look around, on my server anyway(Lucan DLere), You see everyone on a horse of some sort. Most are on their war barded horses or that fitzpizzle flying platform thing. How bout fixing the horses now, the bug that makes them always turn in a direction, you have resummon to get rid of it. I don't want to sound like a hater, but you guys made one of the most awesome games ever already so why not borrow from it. What game am I referring to? Star Wars Galaxies. Sure there was a lot of speeders, but they had a large variety of mounted animals. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't see that the warg/worg fits into the EQ them of mounts at all.</p><p> As for the other additions, I thought we already had quest sharing once, then it went away, now it's back?? As for the graphics thing..um..we already have that stuff. It's called the auto graphics settings: raid, very high performance, performance, balanced, high quality, very high quality, and ultra quality. I don't think we need anything else. /load_uisettings is for your interface when you want to import one from another character. How do you plan on making this work when that command already does something else.</p><p> While we are it, the devs should fix some of the spells for classes to make them less laggy for us Dial-Up users. Yah laugh all you want but some people are never going to get highspeed until they move. A spell that I can mention off the top of my head is "grave blessing", the Shadowknight reactive heal spell. Every single time I cast it, I completely lag out for 10 seconds, can't cast, can't do anything. By the time the game catches up, all the heals have come and gone, and you are back to where you left off before you cast it. There is absolutely no issue with this spell if you cast it on someone else however, which I don't understand. I know there is one for the Inquisitors called "fanatacism" that also has similar results for DU users. I have a 50.6 connection which works very well for any other spell I have. How bout looking into that instead of giving us more lame crap. In 1 week, EVERYBODY is going to have a stupid pet dog mount, at least all the people high enough to get it. </p><p>I've ranted long enough and I'm sure I'll get flamed for this reply but hey, it's my opinion not yours. I say if the devs wanted to impress us, how bout making a mount that the entire group can ride as one. SOE has made the "casual gamer" happy with the last 2 mounts because they can afford them. So why make another mount with close to same stats that actually costs less? They have made no high end mount, only average, easily obtainable ones that my gradmother (if she played) could easily get.</p><p>Your right, expansions should be the bulk of the new content. But this EOF expansion was borked from the getgo when the mount came out that cost the same as the LAST EXPANSION, but made you lvl your guild off to get it still. WE NOW HAVE CLOSE TO THE SAME MOUNTS WE HAD ALMOST A YEAR AGO. </p><p>Bizerk </p>

Its a fabled dragon egg, you hatch it and it beomces a mount, unfortunately it does fly, it more or less hovers like the carpet and stand like the horse when not in motion. It has 500% runspeed and totally uber stats <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

It takes me a good 5 mins to restore non-raid settings by tweaking the various sliders and it will be great to have the ability to personalise them for my particular hardware setup.

I'm not too impressed with the mount model nor colouring of it.. It should have been more evil looking like the WoW one posted.. The shared quest system is a step in the right direction but they need to develop an apprentice/master system that entices 60+ to help lower level players around a bit. Some rewards could be abilities gained by means of a new AA type line called master lines and add various mods or abilities that make them better players.. The apprentice/master system could even incorporate a mix of quests and straight level grinding for lower players.. An example quest could be, "you need to help a younger player kill the leader at the bottom of Fallen Gate and reap her rewards for your apprentice". Or "you need to clear out ruins of varsoon, killing varsoon and pillaging his dead corpse". "Kill 100 mobs in Runneye with an apprenticed player" By doing all these types of various apprentice quests you gain masters xp, maybe tossing in the odd 55-70 master 1 spell for the tougher tasks.. Maybe toss in some decent legendary gear for the masters.. The actual apprentice can and should get some masters along the way too, also some decent gear.. Its just sad to see the lower tiers empty as they are with everyone focused on end game raiding etc.. It will hurt the game in the long run to not attend to this issue if less and less newer players don't get some help up to at least 50 or 60 they rarely stick around.. Ya they can join guilds, Ive joined guilds and they rarely help out lower level as its time away from their 70 instances etc... I'm guildless because even when guilded I was still LFG and relying on pickup groups 100% of the time.. At all levels even my 70 toon.... I've never played WoW outside of the free trials but there is no reason why they should have 8 million players while this great game suffers as it does except for end game raiding.. One of the major things that I think needs reworked is sub 55 loot and gear... It really need to be made plentiful. Make masters and fabled armor in those tiers drop more from all mobs including names because a player should get excited about the next piece of gear they are going to get.. If you go through your sub 60 tiers in all treasured and adept 1 loot it can become quite boring.. I'm not saying give player full fabled sets or anything by the time they hit lvl 50.. I think maybe the biggest problem right now with this game is how expensive it is for new players to get adept 3 spells every 10 levels to be effective at your class most players opt to get adept 3 made etc but not only that look at the armor situation.. They are constantly buying armor every 10 levels aswell.. This can get quite expensive and when players go weeks without being able to upgrade due to cost restrictions and rare loot drops for decent gear they end up quiting.. This loot issue at lower levels coupled with lack of other players to play with, makes them quite and go off to wow because they have a far easier progression through the levels via quests and they also attain the gear they need when they need it via those quests... I look at eq2 questing system and its all over the place.. Without the <a href="http://eq2i.com/articles/Soloing_Timeline" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://eq2i.com/articles/Soloing_Timeline</a> (solo timeline) ; which new players don't even know about its really hard and complex for newer players to learn the game and progress at a pace they will enjoy themselves at without it feeling like a total time sink or grind. So all in all, I say re work some of the lower level zones and quests/loot, and give an incentive for raiders/lvl 70 to come down to the lower tiers and show newer players around a bit... The biggest time sink right now sub 70 is LFG ... Ive done all the solo timeline quests on my 62 and he hits a point where he can't progress any further in the quests because something he needs help with... So he's basically forced to throw up LFG and hope he gets invited to a group which last night never happened in 5 hrs from 5 est - 10pm... I'm just trying to lay out some of the core flaws to this game which directly affects its sub base... This isn't eq1 and its not the only fantasy game out there You can't just force feed players a crappy time sink and expect them to eat it up hand over fist and ask for a second helping.. They will move on to a game that is more fun.. Because thats the bottom line in any game we play...

<p>So far the update rocks except one major issue with pet classes. If you cast your diety pet first, then your main combat pets after, you lose the control of the combat pet controls. For some reason there is a combat control set for the diety pets and it overrides the main pet controls. Thanks for this my group in Mistmoore found out the hard way that a pet will rampage freely out on his own on a bad pull and low and behold pulled yet about 6 more mobs then come back.</p><p>Please fix this asap....otherwise necro with no pet for me i guess.....<img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>The trailer is not gameplay sir....IF they mo capped this gameplay then liek I said I feel sorry for them....I already work for a company who has over 12 titles on the market, we get WAY better quality animations than here in EQ2 and its very hard to believe any of this is motion caputred. Yes I'll credit the opening animation maybe as motion capture but gameplay no way. </p><p>The game animation here in eq2 are simple very simple pose based animations that can be created with under 100 frames a peice....all it is is a blending of the many animations that mkaes it look so realistic. </p><p>I could be wrong though.....ive seen crappy animation all over the world</p><p>Would love to see a link to where the proof is though.</p>

Nm I found the link already on youtube....theu did use mo cap fo the trailer and as reference to give the animators a good quality animation, but didnt actually say the animations in game were mo cap... I'm assuming some of it might be but its insane to think Sony would dish out that kinda cash for a simple animation.
