A Tanking Assassin - what's good for me?

Hi, I'm a level 54 Assassin & I with a Warden; I have no problems handling a group of 3 yellows or a single orange (not by choice =P).  I am having problems with the grouped yellow mobs (>3)  &  I don't provoke yellow H^^^ unless I'm feeling suicidal. I need advise on how I should respecc my AA. As it is I have this arrangement: STA: 4/4/8/8 & WIS: 5/4/8/8 - the logic here was to max out my HP & my DEF skills & get a frontal AE as a plus. But I am thinking as the mobs get tougher (more grouped mobs) I should focus on STR & max out PARRY: STR: 4/4/8/7/2 So the question is do I retain my STA for max HP or my INT for max DEF?

Hey, I get to be the first to say it.  What you really want to do it re-roll a zerker! That being said, I'm cool with the untraditional group makeups.  I think you still want the str line, even if you wind up tanking a lot.  Your survival is going to depend a lot on being able to put out some DPS.  Sometimes i hunt with a couple of other scouts (no healer, no tank), and we invoke the 60 second rule.  If we can't take down a mob in 60 seconds, we're all gunna die, and its fun.  After str, i think I would lean towards the line that gives the 100% parry with the last ability.  Can't remember which one that is right now.  What are you doing with your EOF AA lines? I think there's some decent choices in there for someone trying to tank.  The increased damage on your dots is always nice.  The increased utility from poisons is too.  And you can't overlook the tricks line where you can decrease re-use timers and make a couple of stun effects last longer.  Oh yeah, and you know you wanna max out the one that removes the penalty for adroit defence.  -t

Get the defensive stance AA in the EOF tree. With no melee skill penalty for def. stance, you will do a lot more dps and hold aggro better. Assassins tank single targets pretty well, but groups of mobs are a serious problem. Just how it is.
