i cant swim

for some reason when i look up or down in the water i cant go under water or get out from under water when im under water is there a way to fix this

You have to go into first person view(F9) to swim properly.

I despise first person and never use it yet all of my gals swim just fine. Use the Home key to rise to the surface and the End key to descend. No first person needed. <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

For movement in game I have only ever used my WASD keys and my mouse. I can swim perfectly fine in 3rd person view. Hold right mouse button down and pressing any direction key makes you strafe. This works for swimming in water quite well.
