I'm starting Everquest 2 back up after a two year break. It seems all of the scout type classes are really good in pvp, infact almost seems easy mode. I was thinking about rolling a fury, how are they in level 70 pvp. Are any clothies worth while in high level pvp? I want to stay away from rogue/warrior type. I like hybrids, and I like a challenge.

Don't worry, furies are overpowered too.

if you want easy mode play a rouge, predator or druid. If you want a challange, play a clothie, shaman, or something similar.

Ameniel wrote:
'Yeah, cause my class is the only difficult class and only people who play my class have any skillz everybody else is just easy mode'
Totally agree with your sarcasm here. PVP is full of the BS "If I win, it's skill. If I lose, you cheated or played on easy mode."

So this makes us extremely op how, exactly?...

In all honesty I believe the only part of a scout skillset that can be said to truly be easy mode is tracking. And yet there are still lots of noobs who don't use it as well or often as they should. Scouts fill a role/niche in this game's grouping scheme as do all the other archetypes. It just cracks me up when I hear people talk like they think there should only be clerics/shamans and cloth casters in this game.

only way to determine skill is to end up fighting against your own class, and see how it goes. But of course, that's not necessarily accurate either, because you'd need to be exile or fighting an exile in a good portion of cases for this to occur, and you'd want to be sure you had the strat down.

face it, all classes can be beat by a specific class/circumstance. Part of the "skill" in the game is putting yourself in a position to win. If you do that, the rest takes care of itself.

one last parting shot though... nobody will respect you in this game. nobody. if you can get that idea out of the way out of the gate, you'll be a lot happier playing this game.

for easy mode though, pick rogue, predator, druid. *hey I'm not gonna lie, I have a brigand and a ranger*

Skill > all

/shrug

Debate it all you want, skill > all. Any "advantages" that any class has (in regards to combat attacks/spells) can be overcome with strategy and competence.
