Deleting a toon with a collector's edition reward

<p>Forgive me if this question has been asked, as I was unable to find it.  Anyway, my question is regarding the dragon pet that I got for ordering the collector's edition. If I delete the toon that currently has it, will I completely lose it, or will it be available for a different character to receive instead?  I'm torn on this, as I'd really like to be able to have access to it, since it was the thing that made me get the collector's edition in the first place.  Please let me know.</p><p>Thanks!</p>

<p>you will lose the pet if you delete the toon.</p><p>If I recall correctly, you can place the pet in anothet toon's home to avoid his untimely death.</p>

You should look at your baby dragon. The <a href="http://www.eq2idb.com/item_details.php?item=NjA4NDY2MTg4" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">original egg</a> you get is NO-TRADE but the <a href="http://www.eq2idb.com/item_details.php?item=LTg3MzQzMzA2Nw==" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">baby dragons</a> are LORE and tradable. Thank you for responding!  I'm glad that I can place the dragon in another's house and not loose it, that's cool.  The only problem is that I'm deleting the character, because she's on the wrong server at this point.  I started EQ2 when it first came out and wasn't happy with it at all.  However, I came back when a friend of mine was telling me how great it was and about all the changes they made.  Now I'm addicted, go figure right?  Anyway, I'd transfer the toon over, if she wasn't only 12.  I can't really see spending 50 dollars to transfer a toon that I'm going to delete.  It looks like I may just have to cut my loss, which is unfortunate.  It's too bad it just doesn't return to the /claim section and allow me to get it with a different toon.  <img src="/smilies/c30b4198e0907b23b8246bdd52aa1c3c.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Thanks again, Whissana <img src="/smilies/ed515dbff23a0ee3241dcc0a601c9ed6.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

don't go deleting it yet. they are going to be having free server transfers soon. I'd wait till then so you can transfer and trade the dragon

Even if you have already deleted your character you can simply petition to have it restored. I've never done that, but I've read numerous posts about people who have.

You probably ought to have someone help you transfer the baby dragon through inventory onto another character. If you simply drop it into another character's house, you may not be able to pick it up on that other character since s/he was not the one who placed the item. (Just something I've noticed in my inn room - I have several flaming pigs that other characters set down...and they're all flagged "You cannot pick up an item that you did not place" or something of that nature).

Oooh, free transfers coming?  Man, I need to pay more attention!  That's fabulous and thank you so much!  I have not deleted her yet, so I will wait.  I'll just give the char I want to have the dragon trustee rights to my room, and then I should be able to pick up the dragon and move her that way, maybe.  I'll just have to check and see.  Either way something will work with it.  Thanks everyone, for all your help!  I very much appreciate it!  Yay!!  Okay, so I'm easily excitable, lol.  I'm very happy that there is a way around losing the dragon and other items that came with the collectors edition.  Fabulous!!  Whis <img src="/smilies/49869fe8223507d7223db3451e5321aa.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  <img src="/smilies/97ada74b88049a6d50a6ed40898a03d7.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Personally I hate No trade rewards... If you could trade between characters on THAT account only it would be better... I used to have some paintings from I think DoF, but I don't have the characters anymore so :/ *sigh* lost rewards... they suck..

<p>Baby Dragons are one of the few items that really sell high - in the 30-60pp range on Befallen on the rare times I see them listed. They are one of those very few items that are not replaceable - from what I have heard, even a GM cannot replace it.</p><p> As others noted, I would wait for the free transfers, expected to happen sometime in the next 2-4 weeks.</p>
