So I have a alot of downtime at work during the day at times so I spend this time reading various topics on the forums here. Different things from complaints to praise to suggestions for the game. Some of them are really well thought out and others see like they were either written by a 6 year old or someone who was angry and not thinking coherently as they wrote. I've noticed a plethora of topics though on one thing in perticular. People complaining about how other people play the game. Now there are things that are considered legitament ways to play and there are also illegitament ways to play. I've read the variety of post of bots and plat sellers/buyers and we all know that these types of "players" (if they can be called that) ruin the game for others. But the point I would like to make it that other ways of playing have nothing wrong with them. From the way a player levels to making money.

If player A decide he wants to make money by harvesting, whether rares or common components, then it is his choice to spend his time and money that way because he is in fact paying to play the game. No that does not make plat selling okay just because they pay for an account. If player B decides to make money by adventuring that is once again his choice. I see so many post by people complaining that harvesting and selling tradeskill components is wrong, or that getting fabled items just to put up on the broker is wrong, it seems to me that the only correct way some think the game should be played is strictly by making money only adventuring and selling your loot gained in that way or only making money from doing tradeskills and that if you are going to sell rares you should make sure they are cheap.

One of the great things about this game is there are numerous ways to play. You don't have to follow path A to reach endpoint B. You can group or solo, adventure or tradeskill, quest or harvest, or even play the broker. There is no right or wrong way to play as long as its within the bounds of the EULA and on another level as long as your morally okay with what you are doing. If you think something is wrong then there is nothing saying you have to participate in it. All in all it is a game and you should have fun playing it because thats what games are for. If you don't agree with something then by all means say so but try to keep an open mind when doing so and understand that what you think is fun or enjoyable may not be the same for others. When a game ceases to be fun thats when you should probably take a step back and figure out what it is you need to do to find the enjoyment in it again.

Note: This is not a flame against others opinions, merely an observation that seems to be far to common on the boards here. A game should be fun not a frustration.
