Hey, my 52 wife necro wants to betray with my 30 fury. I'm gonna betray to Warden and of course she'll become Conjurer... Question is, doing the +faction quests for Qeynos in Freeport, with her grouped and mentored to my 30 fury, will the instances be managable? Will they be lvl 30?

instances are solo and scale to your level, the highest mob is usually a yellow one, 1 level above you so not something necro or fury can't handle solo, your spell reset to app1 after doing faction quests (and some more steps if memory serves) so you still have good spells while doing them

I haven't tried but I wouldn't be suprised if your wife got a level 52 quest even while mentoring, there was also an issue with zonning more than 1 person into these instances (but I tried it soon after this new betrayal was introduced so it's so distant memory that I don't rememeber what type of problem was it)

to sum it up, as long as you are not a very low level (on low levels going thru sewers is a royal pain in the [I cannot control my vocabulary]...) you should have no problems going thru these quests (it takes a few hours and it's deadly borring imho, but it's doable without much effort)

Ok... here is the deal with the betrayal. Warriors, Bards, Druids, and I forget the mage type can all STAY the same class when you betray... you get the option it's based on who you talk to when your faction is high enough. (I just did this 2 weeks ago on my Troub) When you betray... EVEN IF YOU STAY THE SAME CLASS... all your spells will reset to apprentice I.... so don't upgrade anything until you are done. When mentored you will get an instance appropriate to the group... It should be cake... I betrayed to freeport so I can't tell you which to take... but you can zone in... unmentor... obliterate everything that doesn't give you a quest update... and rementor for those parts.... in my case I stayed mentored because My Fury was the high level toon and the quest I was running only had me kill 1 single up arrow mob if I used my group invis... so unmentoring would have been a waste of time. It wasn't too bad... but it did take some time... alot less time for me than for some people because I had a lvl 70 with me.... here is why. I'd take my fury and troub.. zone into qeynos... dot 2 guards.... while the fury was unmentored... they would run and attack him... I'd run my troub past them while they were engaged and to the instance I needed.... I'd then zone my fury OUT... to drop aggro.. and zone him back in... the guards were then grey to the fury (always were but not to the troub) and I would stroll right on by while they screamed profanities at me ;-p Once I got to the door of the instance I would rementor and then zone in.... when finished with the instance I would evac to the door to the outside... and zone out... rinse and repeat. If you drop Fury and go Warden... you will never have invis so you will need to keep invis totems handy.
