Heya, i just got my KoS expansion and im eager to know has anyone of you gone the agility line of SK? It sounds fun in my opinion, but is it good? I'd like to try it if it's rather rare. Thanks!

Never tried it but from what I hear Trample and Joust are pretty powerful.

agi works nicely for tanking blue zones (where you can pull 2-3 groups of mobs) and solo faming where you agro about 8 mobs and kill without using much power

it's not so good if you DPS, especially in raids where mobs tend to be big, majority of them is either out of range or not in front view and trample hits once in the blue moon

additionally if you FD or die in an instance you loose half of the trample (so called 'horse trample' easy to avoid in group instances almost inevitable in raid instances

I was agi/sta/int 448 before forced respec and I really liked that

Thanks for your answers. They helped alot ^^ so i'll start putting points in agility line, but how would you suggest me to start putting them in there? I mean that how many point for the + agility thing, and how many points for joust and so on.

Thanks

I wouldn't go beyond 448 agi, (4 is needed to open next skill), extra agi helps but it's nothing stellar (about 1% extra avidance for each 4 points invested (+28agi)), 2nd skill in this line doesn't really upgrade by much by putting points above 4 (and it's just 1 CA after all)

since these extra swings are melee attacks sta 448 with its crits nicely complements agi and of course 448 int is almost a must for SK so after initial ability, 448agi/sta/int you have 1 point left to allocate

Ahh i see.. Thanks for your time for helping me I bet you know that Joust needed a spear to use, so do you know any good spear weapons for levels around 30's? If so, please list it here and i'll seek it out, i'd like to try joust even if it isn't so necessary ^^. Thanks again :p

not to beat a dead horse.. get it ? haha. ok, not funny. umm I would agree with whats been said. I'm not sure exactly my current spec, but I do enjoy the trample greatly. Its perfect setup for farming gold. I can pull the intire bummer camp in north corner of LP, about 20-23 I think, green con, and kill them easy if I time everything right. I make mince meat of large green to blue con mobs. but as stated, not an ideal setup for when I'm MT in Instances , Gonna repsec out of it into full Sta line again soon.

I do well in unrest with trample+DM as well and in many other instances too. Removing trample basically reduce myself alot as dps tank.. SK EXCELS at group encounters as a tank so trample strengthens that..

If you MT as 1h/shield all the time then trample might means less for you.. I put +10 defense fabled adornment in my 2h so I only have 10% difference in avoidance when I switch to 1h/shield so that wasn't much of any difference but I enjoy huge dps boost as exchange. Yes, I MT with 2h often up to equal level of mobs. I go 1h/shield only in difficult instances like unrest or MM castle and against nameds but 2h in most areas tho for much more dps boost and crazy taunt..
