Good day guys,

I was wonder if someone could help me with a question. I have a new Defiler (Level 44) and I have just got my Soul Ward in my AA line. I wanna build my character with ALOT of hit points because the more HP I have the bigger the ward my Soul Ward will bestow upon my tank. So I was wonder in anyones knows what the point ratio is for Stamina to Hps, because I will likely Adorn my armor with the 100hp adornments.

Thx

Ziano, Level 44 Defiler, Befallen

The Sta->HP ratio depends on your class and level (not including AAs and traits that usually increase your total hps from all sources). As a shaman, you will be on the lower end of the scale. As a Paladin, I get something in the range of 5 HPs from every sta point and I am near the top of the scale. Your best bet is to try equipping and unequipping gear or buffs to figure out the ratio for yourself. As far as adornments go, the HP boosters are far better than the sta ones even for fighters, so that should make your choice simple.

Stat bonuses are diminishing returns, although for a defiler, you probably won't be hitting the soft cap for stamina. On the other hand, HP is a flat bonus - +100 HP is always +100HP.

I was switching around equipment today and I have around ~400 Stamina at level 70. Getting 1 point more of Stamina ended up giving me 3 hitpoints.

So unless your Stamina is very very low... I would suggest getting straight up hitpoints. Adornment of +14 Stamina is the same slot and usually cost as the +100 HP. 14 Stamina, at x3 (even assuming it doesn't diminish any further) is only 42 hitpoints.

So yeah... +HPs is probably best. You'll get decent Stamina from virtually every piece of equipment anyways (even mastercrafted will give sta on each piece, regardless of melee or caster oriented).

One thing to note, you may want to consider the traits that give +% to max HP with regards to this goal. This can add up, as it will take into account your other bonuses as well.
