Melee Mystic [Removed for Content]?

<p>Is a melee Mystic [Removed for Content]? I would like to make one but wanna know off the bat. If I do this which AA's and stats should I take?</p>

<p>I would recomend the melee line. Go straight for melee combat arts (CA). They do great damage, especially considering the rather good str we get. I got CA aoe damage more then 10 levels before I would get the spell vertion, so not only will every CA do more damage then your spells, you will have them all earlier. As an added bonus, you wont have to upgrade your attacks, so you save your money for something else.</p><p>I first placed 21 (I think) AA in CA line, so I could get last ability. I then maxed sow (got to run fast). Am now working on agi line, got 3AA in melee crit. At lev 42 I have 42 AA. Not amazing, but I havent locked xp. After agi line I think I will max out melee haste in str line. After that I dont know.</p><p>Not sure this is the best way to do it, but thats what I chose, and I dont regret it. Usually parse 2st to 4rd in an even leveld grp where I dont have to heal much, which is more then enough for me.</p>

<p>I've got a 65 mystic with maxed out AGI line and weapons mastery.</p><p>She can dump out a lot of damage very fast and have time left over to cast wards and debuffs.</p><p>Every CA she has crits every time, it is fun to watch.  Haven't tried parsing yet, could be fun, especially now that she has bolster M1 memorized.</p>

where should I dump my stat points into for a melee mystic?

<p>If you're talking about stats on gear you can craft, I'd go with the chainmail that provides WIS boost. I'm in the mindset you can never have enough power so all of my equipment I go for is best defense that gives me best WIS + Power combination. </p><p>For melee damage its going to be STR. Our CAs are also STR reliant for damage. However since we have several buffs for STR, I really don't pay too much attention. More Power is my mantra.</p>

<p>I wouldn't exactly call melee mystics [Removed for Content].  I put out around 1400 DPS on single target raid mobs, and am still near the top of the heal parse.  I can also take out most classes 1v1 in PvP.</p><p>Spec 100% crits and get Ancestrial rage.  On EoF tree get 5 points in all the Combat arts and get weapon mastery.  </p><p>STR is helpful too.  I've been concentrating on getting gear with STR on it rather than WIS.  my strength now self buffed is 560, with wis being 350ish, and I don't have much of a power issue.</p>
