So I decided to finally roll a character on a PvP server, after playing on Befallen for about a year and a half or something….For my server I went with Vox and for my class I chose a necro (which I am loving btw, even more than my 42 conj). So here I am back at the island again and I can’t help but have this foreboding feeling. I’m thinking, this is my nice safe zone, but as soon as I leave here, I will be out in the wild…alone. Then I loot at my chat box and notice a guild is recruiting…horrah! A guild would definatly be helpful! I send a tell and woot!, I get invited. Hmm…the only one online is the one who recruited me…: / Well, I figure I’ll stick with it for now, you know, I could always leave and find another one. Time to leave the island…I finish up every quest I can find and kill a few extra mobs to try to prepare myself…Enter: the real world (runs and hides)…Ok so it’s not that bad…I get the PvP range warning when I first zone, but hey, I’m still alive…I get through the Sunken city…the ruins…wohoo…no PvP deaths!. I notice my guild is growing, and there are lots of people around my range so I group with some. They are in the CL. They say they need some help because there getting ganked outside the city gate. I realize they are new to the game so I decide to take the lead. I suggest going back to the ruins to level some more and they go with. Wohoo still no PvP deaths…I’m level 17, so I figure it’s time to go to the WC. So confident that there are no Q’s on the server I head out…I run up to the nearest griffon and hop off near the entrance to the caves. I start running over and I notice and arrow in the air…then I realize there coming towards me!!! Oh $#^&…I’m dead…That took all of 3 seconds…So I revive at the spawn point and woot, I have immunity for a short time…the WC entrance isn’t too far, I should be able to make it! I do! I zone in and look around…uh oh… they followed me in! Ok, ok, think…have immunity again for 30 seconds…oh snap, I have immunity again! I guess you get it when you zone…So I think again…I’ll zone back out!...So I do that, more Q’s! I zone back in... And then back out and a couple more times… I think they got tired of chasing me because there finally out of the caves! I feel all brave and clever, so I decide to tell my guildies about what happened. One of them says, Freeps never run away from combat! They go down fighting… And sheepishly I reply, but there were so many of them…and I was all alone…Oh well…I made it through my first PvP encounter and I’m still here…heck, it’s definitely a different experience and kinda fun… : ) The only “negative” experience I had was last night. I logged back on to level up to 20 and do so in the WC. I hear on level chat…Q’s in the caves! And I’m like…uh oh, that’s where I am! I send the guy a tell and ask, the WC? And he replies, The caves in ant newb… : ( I’m like, awww. I’ve been playing for a while and never heard someone say the caves in reference to the ones in Ant…and I don’t even remember going to any caves in Ant… Well, I fought back and said, thanks, [I cannot control my vocabulary]… (hehe) and a few more tells which doesn’t lead to much… Anyways so far PvP is hella fun and I’m enjoying it very much. Also may be the fact that this necro class roxors : ) Can’t wait to get into some more PvP action and even hopefully kill a Q… (well, wasn't that long I guess)
